What started a bit of fun, has turned into a bit of an experience.

I've spent quite a few years of my life messing around with paint, clay, plastic, glue, foam, bits of wire and any old scraps I could lay my hands on. Then one day I woke up to find that I'd sculpted an 8" statue of Cthulhu and it had become popular. At first I had a few people asking about buying castings and the next thing I knew, I had lots of people enquiring.

So here I am on Etsy and while I've called myself CastingsofCthulhu, I'm also producing items which may or may not be connected with Lovecraft's work, but at the heart of it all is the original Cthulhu.

Each of the cold cast items are done using resin and metal powder so the results are more realistic than a paint job. After the initial casting stage I spend several hours hand finishing and polishing each one so you can be sure that your order is hand crafted and hand finished to achieve the best possible result and being real metal they will age and tarnish just like a metal statue but at a fraction of the cost of a 100% metal casting.

As well as the metal versions I am able to produce custom castings in other materials so feel free to get in touch to find out what else I can offer or visit my website at where there is more info about my work along with a blog full of ramblings and examples of what I'm up to.

I'm also on facebook at so feel free to stop by and say hello. I don't bite...
