About

Welcome to Catfish Jar Rescue!

A few years ago, we purchased our dream home, and moved our family out to the country. We love our 1871 brick farmhouse that is still very much a work in progress. A couple of years ago, our neighbors down the road tore down a century old barn, and they let us sift through the contents in search of treasure. Justin found a box of old blue canning jars that were covered in layers of soot and grime. I took them home, and with a little bit of TLC, they came back to life. The transformation was astonishing, and I was HOOKED! I read everything that I could get my hands on about antique fruit jars, and I started picking up boxes of random jars at auctions, estate sales, and thrift shoppes.

Before I knew it, I had a huge collection of jars. I gifted out lots of them to family and friends, but I knew I needed to find homes for some of them (so I could rescue more, of course!). Etsy was the perfect place to facilitate the re-homing of some of my duplicates. In about a year, the jar enterprise outgrew the farmhouse kitchen and dining room. We had the marvelous opportunity to rent a gorgeous old storefront building in town, and are now in the process of filling it up, too! We have expanded into other farmhouse primitives and vintage treasures, but our first love will always be vintage and antique fruit jars and canning supplies.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit!

We now have a new Etsy shoppe! Come visit us at Catfishchloe!!

Shipping
I will ship your order via USPS. Depending on the weight of the package, it will be sent via parcel post or priority mail. I will do overnight or express shipping, but the buyer will be responsible for any additional postage. Please allow at least 3-5 business days after purchase for packages to be shipped. Large orders may require more time for packing.

Your shipping cost includes actual postage plus a minimal handling charge. I do recycle shipping materials, and I use a large volume of packing supplies. The packaging is "no frills" but your items will be carefully packaged. Frequently, custom boxes have to be built for items of unusual size or shape.

International buyers will be responsible for any upgraded shipping or customs fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do my very best to describe each of my items accurately. Please feel free to ask questions prior to purchasing an item. I will accept returns within 14 days of receipt, or provide a refund only if I have significantly misrepresented an item. Please contact me prior to leaving negative feedback, to see if we can come to a mutually satisfying solution.

On any return, the buyer will be responsible for shipping costs.

Please contact me right away if your item arrives broken or damaged. If possible, I will send a replacement, if not, I will issue a refund for the item. I do require photographic proof of damage so that insurance claims can be filed with the postal service. Please take pictures of the damaged item in the original packaging. I can not provide a refund without proof of damage.
