Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
Yes, Catholic Village offers gift wrapping at no extra charge. Please let me know in the "note to seller" box at checkout, or message me at the time of purchase.
I want to use an item for my wedding. Can I return it after the event and get a refund?
No. We do not lend items for weddings or other events.
Custom and personalized orders
Catholic Village sells vintage and antique artifacts. It is not possible for us to take requests to manufacture things in the past.
Care instructions
Most items at Catholic Village are offered with their original patina. Items will be gently wiped and sanitized. If you want an item gently polished, ask at the time of purchase. If you want it thoroughly cleaned and highly polished, we recommend taking it to a jeweler who knows how to clean delicate items without damaging them.
Will you send instructions on how to use the items I buy?
Because the items we sell have spiritual significance and spiritual practices can vary, we refer you to your priest or spiritual advisor with any questions regarding their use.
My item looks old!
Yes. Since we sell vintage and antique artifacts, your purchased items will not look new because they are not new. Our customers come to Catholic Village to buy legacy items, artifacts, and "thin place" objects which are treasured for their age.
I need spiritual help. How can I contact you?
Because there are no priests, pastors or religious workers on our staff, we cannot offer spiritual guidance of any kind. All items are being offered as cultural artifacts without intent to propagate, cultivate or foster spiritual beliefs. No spiritual power, utility or significance is expressed or implied.
What do "vintage" and "antique" mean?
Catholic Village defines "vintage" as at least 25 years old. "Antique" means at least 100 years old.
Is it okay to sell and buy blessed objects?
The Vatican has explicitly stated that the sale of legacy objects of the faith at fair market value is greatly preferable to throwing them away or keeping them in storage. Items are offered here as cultural artifacts and in no way should be construed to have religious or spiritual powers.
