I wanted two prints on canvas in matched size. One of the prints I wanted was not available on canvas, so I requested a custom listing. The seller is very responsive and was so quick to do all the new set up with her printer. The actual items, it goes without saying that she has talent in her painting, but also the colors come across in the prints perfectly. Honestly, I am really too lazy to write reviews, but the seller is lovely.

Very beautiful watercolor print! Looks very nice on the front of a journal. Well-packaged and speedy delivery, too. Thank you!

What a lovely painting!! Packed well and arrived in a timely manner.
Watercolor became my passion from the beginning.
Years ago, I bought my mother a watercolor painting that she admired for Christmas. I purchased it in the summer so I had it a long time before I gave it to her. I kept looking at it and thinking, "I bet I could do that." I had always loved to draw and had played with various media over the years. After the painting was given, my mother paid for both of us to take a watercolor class at our local art store for my birthday. I fell in love with it from the very beginning and continued to take classes on and off for three years.
I kept on learning on my own beyond that, reading books and putting a lot of miles on my brush. Five years after I started, I got into my first juried show and I began to sell my work at a local outdoor art fair. Two years later, I was asked to teach the same watercolor class in which I had once been a student. I am still teaching (4 - 5 classes a week plus occasional workshops) sixteen years later. I love teaching as much as painting - they both feed my soul.
Though I paint a lot of subjects, my main focus is nature and the beauty it provides everyday that we often take for granted. I like to zoom in on little things that we pass by without seeing: a leaf lit up by the sun, the curl of a stem, the unfolding of a fern, the jewel like colors of wild flowers, the colors and texture of rocks and bark, light dancing on the water, etc. You can read more about this in my artist statement on my website: www.CathyHIllegas.com
Though I set up my etsy shop in 2008, I did not begin selling until 2011. From modest beginnings, it has grown by leaps and bounds. I love the opportunity to share my work with customers all over the world.
I've been a writer, a sign language interpreter, a counselor, and a stay at home mom. I fell in love with watercolor when my mother and I took a class together 20 years ago. Within 5 years, I was selling my work and getting into juried shows.
A large format fine art printer specializing in canvas prints

I scan my paintings and color correct the image. I print all reproductions on paper myself. For canvas prints, I upload the file to a printing company. They print the image on canvas, stretch it, finish the back, and apply a UV protective coating.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
Custom orders will take more processing time. Asking for a print in an odd size may only take an extra day or so. A commissioned painting from your photo may take as long as 3 or 4 months. Custom orders may only be returned if they can be sold to someone else. Sales of commissioned paintings are final but you will see photos of the finished product ahead of time and will be sold to you with your approval.
Most prints can be made in custom sizes to fit your space. Please allow extra time for this and measure carefully.
Gift wrapping and packaging
We do not offer gift wrapping but can include a card with your message if you are sending a gift.
All our orders are well protected and packed to arrive safely. Prints are shipped flat in a clear plastic sleeve, backed by cardboard. They are sandwiched between heavy cardboard that is larger than the print. Shipping costs include the cost of packing materials, not just postage.
