ABOUT ME:

I strive to create pieces that have meaning and connection to our world. In my woven or knitted clothing and accessories I am using plant based dyes and locally sourced fiber. Alpaca is my absolute favorite fiber to work with and I source it from amazing fiber farmers in Middle Tennessee. Fiber and felting enabled me to merge my love of metal jewelry with colorful, light, unique pieces. I also work in local plants, clay, and reclaimed metals or plastics. I find inspiration from plants and the seasons. Many of my design color choices are determined by the season. I use Art History as another source of inspiration. I am constantly inspired by Native, Central, and South American murals, weavings, and jewelry. If you have any questions or inquiries feel free to message.

About

I've had a lifelong obsession with jewelry.

I've been making jewelry for my friends for as long as I can remember. After graduating with a BA in Art History, I started working with fiber in 2013. I wanted to combine my love for jewelry with the versatility and eco conscious material, fiber. I began with needle felting, quickly moving to wet felting, spinning (yarn), and now weaving. All my felted pieces are created with as much local fiber as I can! I primarily use fiber from the animals of Everich Farm in Christiana, TN. They are a small farm with pygora goats and alpacas. The animals are sheered annually and after processing and cleaning the fiber we often dye it! The differences in the types and textures of the fiber present challenges in the creation of each piece; it's quite exciting. I have began to incorporate felting into my jewelry design and love using fiber, polymer clay, glass, and metal in my pieces. I am inspired by my love of Art History, science, and color! I do work on custom orders, mess age me if you would like a special piece crafted for you or a loved one. :)

I started creating jewelry many years ago and through fiber art, metalsmithing, weaving, and carving I am able to express my inspirations and create beautiful pieces for you, my customers! I am also an avid thrifter. I live close to Nashville, Tennessee and am always exploring estate sales, yard sales, and other thrift stores for items to add to my shop or broken pieces of jewelry I can up-cycle into brand new creations! After finishing my degree in art and art history in 2013 I started making jewelry full time. I love the creation process and enjoy making custom orders for all occasions. Looking for a perfect mothers day gift, bridesmaid gift, or birthday gift, let me know and we can brainstorm together a piece that will be perfect for you loved one!
