Creativity and a high level in intuition has always existed within me, I just didn't start to accept/own it at this level until the end of 2018, you could say it was a wake-up call of a very painful sort, I learned the more I stopped trying to judge what I thought people would think of me the more source would provide abundant opportunities to create, and in the most unusual of platforms.

I work completely intuitively-which means I don't have a clear idea of what a finished project will look like. If I'm working with rock animals the face is already present in the stone-I then decide which type of stone chips are best suited and start applying: one-by-one. A typical semi-precious rock animal can take 100+ hours (and several months) to complete, Multiple layers of tiny chips are tediously applied until it feels "right".

Since a some of my materials come from the animal kingdom I utilize a ceremony of "honoring" their gifts with saging, tobacco and gratefulness. My work space is filled an inventory of items that support my work: crystal & Tibetan bowls, crystals and stones of various sizes and shapes, my intuitive creations and a lot of love for what I am called to do.

My personal drum covers and drum beaters are made from scratch-using mostly imitation suede materials, leather, feather trim and pieces of natural wood for handles.

Individual art pieces are created the same way, I start with a concept of materials (and if I don't feel I have them on hand I go shopping), and proceed with the process until I feel a project is finished.

Lucky for me I have a yard large enough to house my stones, rocks and wood-all basking in the California sun to pick from. If that's not enough I'll go for hikes nearby and see what objects want to come home with me, anything from feathers to Eucalyptus caps. With nature at your disposal what more can you ask for.
