My 6-year old son feel in love with the rainbow pattern so we bought him this scarf. He anticipated wearing it during our vacation around Europe but it was not as cold as we thought it would've been. Either way, my son decided that he would wear it in the morning and I would carry it around for him the rest of the day. The scarf was a bit "itchy" at first as it is a wool scarf but David, aka CawfeeGuy, was super responsive and sent me instructions on how to soften the material. It wad super easy to follow along and my son stopped complaining about how "itchy" out was and wanted to wear it all day long in the Florida heat. Didn't work out the way he thought out would but he still tried because he loves his scarf so much. The buying experience was super enjoyable. I would but from CawfeeGuy again. Excellent craftsmanship!!!

This hay is super soft and goes nicely with every outfit. It arrived sooner than I anticipated and overall the buying experience was just easy and enjoyable.

About

Covering the World in Yarn, One Cozy at a Time

David started knitting one weekend in the fall of 2009, and hasn't stopped yet. It provides a wonderful distraction from his daily commute between Staten Island and Midtown Manhattan, and gives the ladies on the express bus a reason to chat him up. It also provides wonderful fodder for his Facebook or Twitter.

After most of his close friends, relations, co-workers and their pets had received a CawfeeCozy or scarf or baby blanket or hat or gloves or sweater, he realized that in order to continue knitting the items he wanted, he'd need to find some way of getting rid of them. At the urging of most of these friends, he decided to set up shop here, figuring it'd be a wonderful way to subsidize what is clearly an addiction that rivals his need for Starbucks lattes.

Now, be a dear and buy something, so he can get yarn to make his husband some socks.

    Owner, Designer, Head Knitter

Born & raised in Brooklyn, but now living on Staten Island with his wonderful husband who remains incredibly tolerant of his knitting habit (as long as he receives a pair of hand-knit socks every few months).

  • Geri

    Knitter, Mom

Knitter, crocheter, and all around crafter for over 40 years. Geri is also David's mom and was convinced to add the lovely scarves and shawls she knits to his shop so she could make room for more. Clearly a fiber addiction runs in their family.

Welcome to my shop!
I'm a native New Yorker who knits almost as obsessively as I breathe. I prefer to knit using only natural fiber (wool, silk, cashmere, alpaca, cotton, etc) yarn, but will work with synthetic upon request.
