You will quickly see that we offer unique DIY project wood, different from what is offered at other stores. We hand select only certain wood varieties and create our pieces into useful shapes and sizes. Using select woods from Missouri we uncover the most artistic, figured wood grains, often with a bit of chewed, cracked, saw marked character. Each piece is certainly one-of-a-kind.
Trees adapt to extreme conditions such as droughts, floods, heat, cold, wind and storms. They bend, flex, crack, twist and curve to reach for the sun.
My son and I work these pieces (not a machine on an assembly line). There are knots, rough edges, cracks and naturally perfect imperfections.
We are trying to capture the raw beauty and artistry in wood from trees that survive through the years of the harshest of conditions.
Mother Nature's Eastern Red Cedar is known for it's naturally insect repelling, rot resisting qualities, all while having a fantastic aromatic scent. Black Walnut, one of the most sought after furniture woods due to its deep, rich shades and highly figured grain designs.
I hope you can appreciate, like we do, the beauty of the trees from the Deep Woods of Missouri.

Very high quality piece of dark walnut. I’m sure it’s going to be an even more beautiful piece once it has some polyurethane on it. Due to the various border restrictions with Natural / Live Edge Wood, our shipping fees reflect only within the continental United States.
Additional United States shipping is possible to both Alaska and Hawaii with coordination of a special shipping fee between the buyer and seller.
