Public Advisory from Canada Post Regarding a Potential Work Disruption
Posted on June 27, 2016 by Canada Post in News Releases
OTTAWA - Labour negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) continue. Talks have been ongoing since late 2015, and the parties are now in the final stretch. No legal work disruption can occur until July 2, 2016. Details of the offers are highlighted in the background section below.
While there is still time to reach new agreements, a legal work disruption could occur as early as July 2, 2016. We understand the impact a work disruption would have on customers and are therefore doing everything possible to reach a negotiated settlement quickly. While a labour disruption remains a possibility, we are asking customers to take precautions.
In the event of a labour disruption, Canada Post will not operate. Mail and parcels will not be delivered, and no new items will be accepted. Any mail and parcels within the postal system during a work disruption will be secured and delivered as quickly as possible once operations resume.
All shipping is done through Canada Post. The item (s) are wrapped up special in tissue paper & sent off in a bubble mailer.
Shipping is usually done within 4-5 days of receiving payment or earlier. Sometimes a little longer if it is a custom order that needs to be made. Of course this will depend if there is a weekend or holiday involved but fear not it will be shipped as soon as possible!
Once the order is shipped I am not responsible for any item that is lost, stolen or damaged once it has been shipped. When your package leaves my hands and it goes into transit I do not have control of what may or may not go on during it's travel to you by the postal system.
International customers are responsible for any taxes or duties incurred on their purchase. As a business, I am legally required to declare the actual sale price on customs forms.
**One other thing, I will ship world wide, so please if you are outside North America please convo with me about a shipping price & I will try to provide you with an accurate pricing from Canada Post once I know where the item might be sent.
