About

We want to share with others a heritage that we love

We're so happy that you've decided to take a look at our artwork!

Celtic Isle Designs started as an idea a long time ago.

Because we love all things Celtic so much (mostly due to our backgrounds), we visit all the Scottish and Celtic festivals in our area. We noticed that among all the wonderful things available to buy, there was no artwork (I know, strange right?). Well....

Mark paints watercolors, and Jenelle paints in oils. Originally we just painted for ourselves and for family, but now we thought we'd take the chance to share with others what we create.

We both love castles. They can feel as old as the land itself. Almost as if they have their own soul. We started off painting sunset scenes because sunrise and sunset is a magical time. A time that makes you stop and watch the beautiful scene before you, almost as if time is standing still.

If there's a castle that you'd like us to paint, or a particular size that you'd like, let us know and we'll see what we can do!

I am originally from this little town in the middle of nowhere in Australia (it really was tiny). My father is Welsh, and my mother is from Finland, and I was raised with their traditions and culture. I have always loved all things Celtic.
