About

Clean Reclaimed Wood Products from Wyoming That Are Safe for Your Home

Barn wood and pallet wood recycling has become a very big industry recently. Many household products are made from these materials like tables and shelves. Make sure you know the source of the reclaimed wood for these products before you bring them into your home; especially your kitchen and bedroom. These sources of wood can have mold, mildew, or insects. Even worse, some of this wood has been exposed to barnyard animal waste, pesticides, or toxic chemicals. The only safe, naturally-aged source of reclaimed wood comes from recycled Wyoming snow fence boards.

Centennial Woods™ started in 1999 and is now the largest provider of sustainable reclaimed wood in the world. Our reclaimed wood system is possible through building, maintaining, and then reclaiming the aged wood off of the hundreds of miles of snow fences lining the Wyoming highways. These 12' tall snow fences endure the harsh elements to make travel safer during Wyoming's brutally long winters by controlling where snow drifts form. It turns out that Wyoming's intense weather conditions are ideal for producing stunning and sustainable weathered wood that is naturally insect-free, odor-free, and chemical-free.

Additionally, our reclaimed wood is carbon-negative since it doesn't require kiln-drying to kill off insects to be made safe for home use. The arid climate, brutal winds, and high-elevations of Wyoming make it impossible for insects to survive in our reclaimed wood. By skipping the energy-intensive process of kiln-drying we have saved the environment from 18,000 tons of CO2 emissions as of 2017.
