An absolutely gorgeous work of ceramic art! True to the photos, shipped very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Shipping did not take long either. I bought this chawan because it reminded me of the photos of earth taken by Chris Hatfield from the Space Station. The design reminds me of rivers flowing from the mountains through green valleys and on to the ocean. Colour, form and function all meet to perfection in this chawan, I use it now exclusively for my tea. I will be buying more art from Ceramic Soul.

Every piece I have from this artist is amazing, and amazingly beautiful. This tea bowl is no exception. As always, items are packed with care and shipped promptly. Thanks so much!

I see in this bowl the distress of a population subject to military conflict with, in the small backgrounds, hints of faith resolved to recur. This potter, at times, provides commentary on the discord in his land, and that is very valuable. His technique is excellent, his efforts worth far more than the asking price.

Numerous individuals, small in themselves, create macro effects, some fearful, others miraculous, the small individuals cracking the surface of a greater, vast blue, thereby making the cultural forms we are all embedded within. As well long, thin forms which remind of monks or Orthodox saints. Pottery cannot explain the world, but it can make us wonder what the world surround is. This potter does that, his effort and skill far greater than the price asked.

About

Ceramic art. A little about myself…...

I'm an ceramic artist from Ukraine. I live in the village, and my studio is located in my back yard. I am a member of the national Union of artists of Ukraine. I create not just cups, teapots, vases , for me it is the creativity and art. Every thing I bring to a state of harmony of colours and forms. Sometimes it has to be repaint and fired a few times. In ceramics art and science are connected. Phisical and chemical processes occurring in clay and glaze change the look of the piece, and the ability to control these processes allows you to create unique effects.
At first, I prepare the clay to work. I don't use the commercially available clay, I extract natural clay from the ground and then clean it and compound with some ingredients according to the properties I need for my work.
From that clay I'm doing my wares on a Potter's wheel.
