Announcement   Handcrafted in Perth, Western Australia! Have a look at my new Festive Season Specials section for some great year end bargains. I will be adding new items regularly to this section. Now taking orders for TEACHER GIFTS! "Teach Nurture Inspire" has been a popular stamping for teachers in past years. My pieces often make ideal gifts for a multitude of occasions, including wedding anniversaries. My metals of choice are Argentium sterling silver and regular sterling silver. Solid 9 carat gold pieces can be ordered by special order only as gold is not standard stock. I also stamp on gold-filled, copper, brass, aluminium and bronze. I am busy expanding my copper and bronze offerings. See my privacy policy below.

In addition to stamping, I set gemstone cabochons in silver and do some gemstone bead stringing. See my website www.chantelmccabe.com for other examples of my work.

About

Personalised stamped metal jewellery and gemstone creations by Chantel McCabe

This is what I do ...

My clients commission me to make special keepsakes for them. Sometimes the piece is for themselves. Sometimes it is intended as a gift for someone special. They often end up being interesting conversation pieces!

I make jewellery for births, weddings, and to say "I love you". I make name jewellery and pendants stamped with sayings with special significance. i have even made death bed jewellery on occasion.

I aways feel honoured to be consulted to make something that has so much meaning. I love that I am able to provide a service in matters so close to my clients' hearts!

I also love making one of a kind gemstone and sterling silver jewellery.

Why I do what I do ...

I have always been creative, however, I started out my professional life as a lawyer with plenty of arty interests ranging from writing, painting, ceramic painting and of course, making jewellery!

When my daughter was born in 2007, I decided to trade in law for beads and make jewellery my new profession. I decided that I wanted to work from home so that I could have the flexibility to care for my child myself.

There has been no looking back! I'm not saying that making jewellery is a walk in the park. There have been many ups and downs, but the most important thing is that I have been able to pursue a creative second career, make quality pieces of sentimental jewellery and be there for my child every step of the way.

My story ...

We emigrated to Australia from South Africa to Australia in 2007 and first lived in Newman, Western Australia, a remote (very remote!) mining town in the north west. This is where my interest in many Western Australian gemstones comes from ... Pilbara jasper, outback jasper, mookaite, hematite ... to name just a few. I have a new jewellery collection which is still in its infancy called "Celebrating Australian Gemstones". Then we moved to Perth in 2011 ... living by the sea at last!

Over the years, my jewellery-making interests have been distilled into the following areas:
- stamped metal jewellery
- gemstone jewellery (gemstone cabochon setting and gemstone beading).

I like stringing, knotting and simple wire work. Argentium sterling silver remains my metal of choice. I am a registered user of Argentium and a member of the guild. I introduced 9 carat solid gold as an option for stamping in 2014.

In 2010, I was a finalist in the Swarovski Create Your Style national competition. In 2014, I launched my Celebrating Australian Lampwork collection which is housed in the Newman Visitors Centre. Read all about in the August 2014 edition of Digital Beading Magazine.

I'm also in the process of making my jewellery business vegan by discontinuing the purchase and use of animal derived elements such as pearls, shells and leather. The Swarovski crystal pearls can stay! I do have some pearl and leather jewellery still for sale but these will not be restocked once sold.

Other than that, I still love making art. I have enrolled for Life Book 2015 with willowing.org. Life Book is a wonderful year long art course that started on 1 January this year and is masterminded by the amazing Tamara Laporte.

Would you like me to create something for you?

If you would like me to make you a special item of jewellery, please feel free to contact me. I have numerous standard designs that can be used "as is" or be tweaked to suit your preferences. i'm also happy to design a special custom piece just for you. Please email me using the Contact Me form below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for stopping by!

Love, peace and lentils
Chantel

I don't accept cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
Exchanges will be considered in certain instances. Original product must be shipped back to me in perfect condition before a replacement is sent out.
Payment
The main payment method is by PayPal but Australian customers may make arrangements for payment by direct bank transfer.
Shipping
Peace of mind is part of the deal so I prefer to ship using a postage method that has a tracking number. You have numerous postage options when you shop with me, but some are available by special request only as it is tricky trying to accommodate all possibilities in the listings.

As of 17 November 2016, I have amended my shipping options for most of my listings so that each listing will have the options of:

1) international parcel with tracking. If you would like the "signature on delivery" added on that, please send me a convo and I will set up a special listing for you with an extra AU$4.99 added onto the shipping. International customers are responsible for any customs duty payable on your side;

and for Australia,

2) small registered letter with tracking (but no free black logo jewellery box as it is too big for letter post),
3) regular parcel post (this takes just over a week from Perth to the east coast),
4) Express post (allow for at least two days to arrive from posting), and
5) Platinum Express (hopefully overnight to major centres countrywide).

Platinum Express automatically has signature on delivery included. Options (2), (3) and (4) do not.

PERTH FREE PICK UP remains as an option but by special arrangement with me only first. I will create a special listing for you with no shipping OR simply go ahead and use a listing with a shipping cost and I will refund you the shipping amount by PayPal.

I have left my processing time as the general time of 1 to 2 weeks. If you need something urgently, you are welcome to contact me first and check my schedule to see if it possible for me to make your order in a much tighter time frame, like as in a day or two. However, this isn't always possible and production is slow, so please check with me first before picking a speedier postal method.
Additional policies and FAQs
Your support means the world to me and makes my lifestyle choice as a work-from-home mom possible. Thank you!

If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on these sites’ privacy policies as the legal basis for this transfer of information.

6. Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
