Note from shop owner Greetings and Thank You for visiting my shop. I am taking a short break from the shop to prepare for our baby due in May. At this time my hands will be busy knitting for my own wee one.

Check back during the summer for your favorite knitted goods. Sorry for any inconvenience and look forward to creating for you soon.

I was looking for chic winter gear, and this item was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Beautiful, handcrafted, and most importantly for those cold north winters, warm!

Booties are adorable and shipped so quickly! Many thanks and I will have my nephew and his wife take a pic of baby Natalie wearing them with the outfit I bought to go with them!

About

Spreading the love one stitch at a time

I come from a family of strong independent women. Who crafted, created, and shared those beautiful items with those who they loved. I always loved the sentiment and originality of the blankets, scarfs, hats, and sweaters we received regularly.

The single item that gave me the most profound impact was my family Christmas Stocking. These stockings were knit by the elder women of the family and given to each member as they were married or born into the family. Our name and year of birth were knit into them and to this day I haven't seen them in any other household. I couldn't bear the thought of my kids and grandkids not having those same stockings. So in college I took fate into my own hands and taught myself how to knit.

In 2011, CharBirdie was born in an effort to "Spread the Love one Stitch at a Time." It's my way of keeping the tradition alive...and the family Christmas Stockings too.
