A Lifetime Collector Goes Pro and Helps Others Fill Their Dream Collections

I've collected all my life, and now that the years have turned to decades I have scores of collections and whole libraries of knowledge in my head. What are some of those mysterious collections? Antique manuscripts (indentures, antiphonals, breviaries, etc.), rocks, antique furniture, stamps, autographs, Fiestaware, glass insulators, pottery (native american, prehistoric, others), poetry broadsides, stained-glass window-designs (mostly Daprato), books (literary first editions, signed and science fiction/fantasy), animation art, comic art, sports cards, paintings, prints and more!

For years my mantra about art in particular was, "why frame what you have when you can use that money to buy more?" So of course, space became a problem, and forced me to became a master of cramming things into space.

And then, in addition to the space problem, I remember the first time I discovered that I'd bought two of the same item - and I didn't even realize this til years after I'd bought the second one. There was that sudden sinking feeling that I simply had too much to keep track of. So I began to put everything up on the web. It was the early days of the web and so my site garnered lots of attention. And though I'd only put the items up there for my own reference (mostly to identify where they were all located in my house), I began to receive a steady stream of requests to purchase my items.

And that first time I said, "yes" to one of those requests was the moment the Charles Scott Gallery was born. Now, decades later, I have grown to "we" and we sell on seven internet platforms, our newsletter goes to over 2,000 customers a month and we've sold items to folks all across the globe.

We hope we can help you find your dream item. At the moment what we have on the web is mostly animation art, but we have hundreds of thousands of items across scores of categories, so it's just a matter of time before we put up something you might be interested in! But if you want it now, please contact us at sales [!at] charlesscottgallery.com and we'd love add your wishes to our wish list!

Good hunting!

Charles

Howdy! I have a huge array of interests and collecting, preserving and selling is one of them. I am truly passionate about art, antiques and many other collectibles. Let me help you find that animation cel or antique that you've been searching for!

Production partners

  • Clampett Studios

    Burbank, CA

Clampett Studios is the home of the Warner Brothers Gallery Program, the successor to the Warner Brothers Studio Stores. In fact, Ruth Clampett, who runs Clampett Studios (Bob Clampett's daughter) was one of the executives of the Warner Brothers Studio Stores.

  • Fox, Klasky Csupo, Akom animators

    United States

Hundreds of skilled line-drawing animators are used to produce the Simpsons. And, sadly there is little to no association between the animator and specific drawings. Some animators are called out in the credits, but not all. We obtain these via animators individuals on the U.S. production end.

  • Linda Jones Enterprises / Warner Brothers

    Costa Mesa, CA

Linda Jones Enterprises is the company founded by the daughter of Chuck Jones, when he was still alive, to create hand-painted limited editions designed and signed by Chuck Jones, legendary animator.

  • Sharon Jensen

    Albuquerque, NM

Sharon Jensen is a renown artist working in the American Southwest. She is a Signature member of the Pastel Society and has exhibited at the New Mexico Masterworks and Pastel Society of New Mexico shows, as well as others. She also does work as an Art Therapist.
