This headband is so lovely and I'm OBSESSED with it. I wore it to see Dita Von Teese and it was the perfect finishing touch for my outfit! Jamie is a sweetheart and helped me choose exactly the right piece ❤️

This item is as beautiful as in the pictures. I must mention that I was not planning to wear it any time soon, but it arrived fast and right before a special occasion I was participating as orchestral musician. I immediately thought about wearing it. I got many, many, many compliments from my hairdo to the nice set of blossoms thanks to ChatterBlossoms! Also, my questions were addressed and I was nicely guided in my purchase. Thanks for such a beautiful headpiece!

Accessories with a Story to Tell

“There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.” - Douglas H. Everett

I decided to start ChatterBlossom as a way to travel along with people in their "magic" moments. The moments that memories are imprinted and carried along until the next person picks it up and tries to imagine how that life was lived.

Whenever I browse through an old shop or meander through an antique store, I try to imagine what life each item may have had. The adolescent girl that brushed her hair with an old vanity set, the weathered hands that clipped each thread off an embroidered cushion, the family chatter heard in the background as a young child reads their favorite book. These images and people float around with me and I wanted to be able to dream in the other direction too. I wanted to be able to create something that someone else would use and touch and incorporate into their present lives.

Making hair accessories and button jewelry that live on a person was an intriguing way to make that possible. Using repurposed vintage millinery flowers and antique buttons lets me take something that has a past and attach it to something that will have an untold future.

Each piece I make has a name and a small story of its own and I love thinking about the person that will see or read and connect with it in some way and anticipate some small adventure in which it will play a part.

Romantic at heart, I love to create things that tell a story and can whisk you to another place locked deep in memory or imagination. I get excited to think that something I made could create an atmosphere of playfulness and intrigue for the wearer.
