About

A Business Was Born

Poppy Things is the result of passion for art, fashion, sewing, and a feminine wardrobe. We value genuine beauty, and being yourself.

Poppies are beautiful and uniquely their own, we want you to feel the same way when you are wearing our products. Poppy Things is primarily an accessories boutique, but will expand to clothing in the future.

About the owner:

I, Chelsey Sawallich, am a college student in Northern Michigan. I've had a passion for art and an eye for the unordinary since a young age, and am utilizing my talent of art through fashion design, and starting out small by sewing items such as infinity scarves.

I am attending Kendall College of Art & Design in the Fall of 2014 to study Fashion which includes the opportunity to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York as well, and after graduation I am hoping to come back to Leelanau County where I reside and own a store front in the area.

This is only the beginning, but everything great started out small.

Much Love, Chelsey xoxo
