Absolutely gorgeous and unique. I love your work and I love buying beautiful things from fellow artisans. Keep creating, Susan
Here's how I started
I have been creating art since I have been able to pick up a pencil and draw. My goal as an artist is to make people smile and laugh. My work is usually real flashy, colorful, and gaudy, but not always. I enjoy using as many colors as possible. Most people say "Less is better", I say just the opposite. I like to work in all mediums. I enjoy expressing myself through photography, painting, sculpting, mosaics, fabric, weaving, drawing, etc. etc.
I've been pursuing my art career for a the past couple years. I started with showing my photography at local festivals and events. I have recently decided to change directions and work with mosaics.
I don't remember exactly when I discovered mosaics. All throughtout college I would create some of my pieces to resemble mosaics or with the idea in mind that I could turn it in to a mosaic later on. My first piece I ever made was a little shelf/ cabinet and I just covered it with pink, purple and iridescent clear glass. Throughout the years I made 2 or 3 other mosaics. I didn't touch the medium for several years until Sept. 2010 when I discovered all the mosaic artist on flickr. I quickly got right back in and started playing with glass again! I really enjoyed it and I havent stopped!
Owner, Mosaic Artist, Photographer
I am inspired by the plants and creatures that Mother Nature has produced. I use stained glass, beads, millefiori, and my orginial photography to create vibrant and colorful mosaics of my interpretation.
