I was so thrilled when I received my new tea pot cozy. And I was even more thrilled when I saw it after opening the package. This cozy is so well made. I am so impressed with the beautiful fabric & the excellent stitchery that went into the making of this item. This is a top of the line item & it will have a special place in my home for many, many years.

This is a beautiful teapot cozy. It's a good fit on our large teapot. Thank you.

About
Paint, Leaves, Fabrics and yarn collide in Blue Rooster Studios=Cherie's Sundries
As a very young child, I learned to crochet in the Philippines when it was discovered I was left handed (Gasp! Oh, the horror of it!.) It began my love with the fiber arts. As a Air Force BRAT I could carry yarn from base to base around the world but not much more. I attended a high school on the “mainland” and learned to sew from a teacher who was a quilter-she opened up the fiber arts world to me. I began quilting at 19 years old, while at the University of Florida, and I have been a member of the Tree City Quilters since 1998. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease which forced me to stop teaching so I turned to my love of fiber arts into my store, Cherie’s Sundries. While I love traditional quilting, I also love agriculture, colors, trees, birds, bees and everything about the world around me. I kept thinking that there had to be a way to bring everything outside---in so I could see it all the time. I first learned how to do traditional piecing, next thread painting, then collage landscape quilting. Somehow it just wasn't "it." I began to work on trying to re-create leaves on fabric. I combined them with my love of batiks and made pillow covers. The leaves then moved on to my wisteria vines growing on my fence line and after the flowers and vines came butterflies and bees and the rest is pillow covers, long pillows, teapot cozies, wall art and more. My fiber art products must be functional as well as pretty as I own a farm in addition to being a mom. On our farm we have fruit and nut trees, bees, vegetables, an old pony, an old horse, dogs, cats, a tortoise, a few bunnies, a few chickens, goldfish and I'm sure there are more that the kids have hidden that I don't know about yet....but all of this goes into what I create and sell so you too can bring the beauty of the world into your home and make your day more comfortable everyday. I'm hoping to make the world more colorful one stroke at a time.
