SHIPPING DELAYS: We mail all of our orders out as soon as they are completed. Unfortunately due to postal worker shortages & an influx of packages this time of year some things seem to be taking longer than normal to arrive. We ship everything within the US using PRIORITY 1-3 DAY SHIPPING. If something is taking longer than that we are happy to assist you in looking for your item; but please be aware that when something leaves our facility & is in the hands of the shipping carrier we cannot control the package. We will happily contact the carrier on your behalf to try to find the package though. If you have other questions regarding shipping please refer to our shop policies.

However, given the rate germs from COVID-19 are being spread we have decided to discard all the shipping materials given to us in the last 2 months & will not be accepting any donations until further notice.
* Processing Times: May be delayed. We ordered supplies before our state/area was hit with the virus & they have taken (or are taking) much longer than typical to arrive and we are sanitizing them appropriately as they come in. The health and safety of our customers as well as our employees is very important to us and something we take seriously.

About CherishedCottage
Handmade with love, from our family to yours.
Starting a blog and selling some of our crafts on Etsy has always been something my family and I have wished to do for years now. Dennis, (my father) is the brains behind every wood craft that is sold on our Etsy page. He draws, cuts, and paints everything by hand. So every one of his wood crafts has been carefully designed with a steady hand and lots of patience! Another member of our team is my mother Lisa. Lisa is currently working on something exciting for our shop so none of her creations have been posted as of yet. However, Lisa is the boss of the business! In other words, she oversees everything from the start of a design to clicking the "post" button on our Etsy page; if it weren't for her I think Dennis and I would be a little lost! I design all of the jewelry on our page, everything you see has been the result of hours in the craft store or on a crafting website and even more time carefully choosing color schemes and putting things together. Our heart and soul is in this business and that is why we want to share it and our lives through this blog!
Another member of our team is my older sister Jessica, she has down syndrome and is a big part of our family. None of her creations have been posted yet but Lisa is also working hard with Jessica on some cool projects that will be appearing soon!

- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)

- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
All items listed are photographed and described as clearly as possible. Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your purchase if you want to return it for a refund.
Custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.
If an item is broken or damaged during shipment, we require that at least 2 clear photos of any damage be emailed to us via our messages on Etsy within 14 days of receiving your purchase.
Returns need to be pre-approved by contacting us through a "Convo" (an Etsy Conversation). Items must be returned in the original packaging and in excellent condition within 21 days of delivery & WITH return approval. You must contact us prior to returning your item.
Customers are responsible for the return shipping cost. We recommend adding delivery confirmation (tracking number) to any returned packages. Any returned packages that are lost, stolen, not delivered or have no proof of mailing will not receive a refund.
REFUNDS: Upon receipt of the returned item, you will be credited for the purchase price less the original shipping cost. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs to return any item for refund.
*Once an item has shipped we do NOT offer refunds until the item has been 1) item shows now movement via the tracking number for at a minimum of 14 days (minimum suggested by the USPS) or 2) It arrives after needed due to a shipping delay & the buyer agrees to return the item. Refund is then issued upon return.

Custom orders: payment in full is required before we begin work on your item.
Shipping
* International orders will be sent via USPS First Class International. Buyer can feel free to message us prior to purchase if they would like a quote for upgrading to Priority Mail International.
* Shipping Delays: If you order around the holidays (or during COVID) please be aware that due to an influx of packages postal services are doing the best they can to scan every package & to get things to their destinations on time. We mail every order within the time frame listed when you order; once it leaves our hands we cannot control how fast it gets to you.
If you cannot find a package please feel free to contact us and we will do absolutely everything in our power to help you find the package.

If paying by PayPal: Please be sure your PayPal address is current. For your protection and mine, ORDERS ARE SHIPPED TO THE ADDRESS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PAYPAL ACCOUNT - unless you specifically state in the order details why you want the package delivered to a different address.
** INFO REGARDING PACKAGING**
- At Cherished Cottage our goal is to keep shipping costs low for our customers & to stay as green as possible -
* Packing Slips: We don't put packing slips in packaging unless specifically requested. At time of order you will receive an email with the information/receipt of your purchase. When your order ships you will receive another email with the tracking information.
* Boxes: The boxes used to package/send your order are recycled from local small businesses.
* Please keep in mind that once a package is out of our hands we have no control over when, how, or if it arrives to its destination. In the unlikely event that a package does go missing, contact us and we'll do all we can to help you find it.
Additional policies and FAQs
If buyer decides not to purchase the reserved item, a convo prior to the 3 day period stating that they aren't going to purchase the item would be greatly appreciated.
Custom orders: We LOVE doing custom orders for our customers!! We'll send you convos during the process of creating your item and also include photos when we're finished.
Please note that custom orders can take a few days to make but we will give you and estimate on the amount of time we'll need to make your item. Feel free to communicate with us about your timely needs and we will do our best to accommodate.
PLEASE NOTE: custom orders must be paid for in full before we can begin work, when you request a custom order we'll create a listing specifically for you. We will only leave that listing up for 7 days.
International Buyers: Please note that you are responsible for payment of any tariffs or fees that your purchase may incur. Sometimes items can be held up in customs; we are not responsible for items that get "stuck" in customs.
