I love candles and I always buy them for myself or as gifts. After spending copious amounts of money on mainstream candles and finding them to be of poor quality, I decided to start a hobby making my own. So, Cheshire Luminary was born in January 2021 . My intention with this small business is to foster my creativity, make beautiful candles that are of superior quality, and make a social impact. The candles are clean burning because I use 100% soy wax, they are made with phthalate free fragrance oils, and I use cotton braided wicks that are zinc free. They are also beautiful as home decor because of the simple design and minimalist colors I like to call "modern rustic" that will fit perfectly into any space. I meticulously pour all the candles and melts by hand. I design, print, and cut the labels myself. And finally I uniquely wrap and package my candle for each person with love. My hope with my small business is to grow and have an impact on my local community especially helping women and girls either through donation, sponsorship, or volunteerism. Once I find what or where that call is I will answer it as a business owner. Cheshire Luminary was named on the premise that a candle is a luminous object that gives off light but also so does each one of us. Thus we are all Luminaries waiting to lead with our light and make a difference in some way.
