5 out of 5 starsLove my lobster trap table! Also loved the customer service I received from Chip...emailed him several questions & his response was always the same day. I had always loved the table my brother has which is an original from our Dad's lobstering days off the Cape. We also have ties to Maine so the fact that it was built in Maine was a plus as well! The quality of workmanship is topnotch & it was exactly what I wanted!!!

5 out of 5 starsLOVE the lobster pot! It is the perfect addition to our nautical decor! The shop shipped order immediately. So fast. Yet it didn’t arrive until 10+ days later, three New England states away. USPS is still lousy. Only two of the several packaging protectors remained inflated upon receipt. Happy to report the pot was in pristine condition.

This is a picture of one of my rustic wooden traps aboard my boat, being fished along side its counterparts.
Our Story....
I grew up on the waters edge in Cape Porpoise, Maine, where I had the opportunity to spend countless hours learning Lobster Industry. Now I am building the traditional Maine Wooden Lobster Trap, just as the elders of the small town taught me over 30 years ago. Today, I still hold a Maine Commercial Lobster License and fish a small string of traps in the summer months. The Wooden Lobster Trap is all but extinct along the coast. I build new full and half size Wooden Lobster Traps for use in homes and business. Each trap is hand made on Native Maine red oak, with hand knit “heads” made of white nylon twine.

Shipping
I get a lot of questions about shipping and its costs. Below is a brief explanation of the costs.
Smaller items ship on a calculated rate, based on the shipping box size, weight, and the destination of the item purchased. The cost is calculated by Etsy, based on USPS rates.
Larger items utilize flat rate shipping. This is based on 1 size categories for the Continental United States:
Rustic trap & Finished Coffee Table $75.00
Example:
The Rustic Maine Lobster Trap is shipped at the Large category. The Rustic Maine Lobster Trap weighs approx. 30 lbs. Add 5 lbs. more for the shipping box, and you get a shipping weight of 35 lbs. The dimensions of the shipping box are 36 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 17 inches tall. The size of the box causes an increase in shipping fees by United Parcel Service (UPS). UPS shipping fees for this item range from $60 to $85 and average around the $75 shipping fee.
We do not ship outside the United States.
