After attending GenCon 2015, a large gamer's convention in Indianapolis, for its excellent Writer's Symposium, Chip discovered he has a fondness for dice, polyhedral dice in particular, the ones used primarily for role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. But he found no games that were good to play as solitaire with these dice. He spent the next year developing a game that can be played alone or with others. After refining it by playing with friends during happy hour at a local craft brewery, Chip released a hand-crafted version of the game, now known as "Throw Down Seven".

Along the lines of dice games like 10,000 (also known as Farkle) and Yahtzee, or card games like Poker Solitaire, Throw Down Seven is a satisfying mix of strategy and chance. It takes only minutes to learn, and can be played almost as quickly, or lingered over among friends.
