Our Little Story
Chloris Collective is here because I spent her entire life surrounded by creative people, and now I finally get the chance to support some of them. My aunt (Mihaela) started to make amazing jewelry “out of nowhere” and being delighted to see that she fulfills her childhood dream of being a designer, I followed her lead to realize my own dream of supporting a creative business. It is such a rewarding thing to enable her to show her pieces beyond her circle of acquaintances.
Mela makes jewelry as a newly found passion; she is soon to retire from a career as an engineer and took a leap to do something that she loves. In this new beginning, she is enthusiastic to learn everyday a bit more about the world of jewelry-making and unleash her potential as a creator. Each piece she makes is truly unique. She uses a vast range of materials; some of them are even re-purposed from old jewelry.
The other designer that is featured here is Didina, whose work I admire since a while now. Despite her age, Didina cannot stand still and uses all her time to do something. Among her talents, she makes "botosei" [Romanian word for slipper-like shoes]. These are made of genuine sheep wool yarn. She uses traditional Romanian knitting technique to which she applies her own modern colors and patterns.
We are thrilled you stopped by our shop and hope you will enjoy our creations as much as we enjoy making them. Come by often, as we work hard to continue improving the shop and what we offer.
Dare to be creative too.

Elvira ♥ art, jewelry, design, illustration...all things beautiful to the eye and also those delicious to ingest. She studied art history, philosophy and film and now she dedicates her love for creativity to the Collective.
Mela is the creative mind behind most of our pieces. She is a retiring engineer and has found a new life in making one of a kind jewelry. She loves gemstones and colorful living.
As she talks, her lips breathe spring roses: I was Chloris, who am now called Flora. Nymph associated with spring, flowers and new growth, Chloris is our collective's guardian goddess. Elvira's other name is Flora and so is her grandmother's name.
please don't be shy and contact us via Etsy or chloriscollective [at] gmail.com if you have any curiosity that is not satisfied here.
We love colored gemstones and thus use the genuine stones to create our jewelry. We very rarely use gems imitations, we try to clearly specify it when it is the case. We buy the beads and other supplies from trusted, well known retailers.
