When asked, I find it hard to describe my *style*. I’d say it’s similar to how I decorate my home. It’s not about confining what I create to a specific style in order to market it. Rather, it’s about *how found items come together in a beautiful way*.
I can often picture a finished piece of jewelry when I look at an old watch face or bits of a broken chandelier. The elements I’ve collected over the years are meant to come together at a specific time, to create something one-of-a-kind.
In the same way, I want my jewelry to find *you*.
If I had to define it - I’d say it’s eclectic, maybe a little bit sundance, a little bit bohemian. Everything I make contains a patina, whether created by hand or distressed by time. Almost all of it is one of a kind.
My jewelry is meant to be paired with a simple style.
I want you to feel fancy and pulled together in your most comfortable tee and jeans, your favorite summer dress, or your coziest tunic and leggings.
If my style speaks to you… you’ll find the perfect earrings that go with everything (or you’ll want all of it).
Enjoy the hunt.

I love the juxtaposition of vintage rhinestones (traditionally formal) with a distressed, painted cuff (casual).

No stone unturned to find the perfect / imperfect pair.

If it's old and sparkly, I will use it.
The elements I’ve collected over the years are meant to come together at a specific time, to create something one-of-a-kind.
What started out as a trip to a bead store during a girl’s weekend trip in 2009, turned into a passion for creating that I didn’t know I had. I’ve always been creative, but up until that point it manifested itself as a career in graphic and web design.
I had never considered myself a *maker*.
The entrepreneur in me quickly turned my passion for creating into a full-fledged jewelry business. Christine Marie Studio could be found in about 30 regional boutiques and shops.
In 2013, we moved and my full basement work area shrunk to a small room that also needed to house the home office for my day job. It was hard to find time to create without a space to do it in. Creating for shows and keeping stores full of stock became hard to balance with the demands of younger kids. Looking back, I was ready for a break. Instead of creating I was churning out product - and what I previously loved doing - now felt like a job.
Fast forward… in early 2020 we moved again and my office went from a small room to a large corner space full of windows. Large enough for a home office AND a creative space. I moved my jewelry bench in. Then came an invite to a show... I had the push I needed to dive back in.
