Updates

Artwork propped just so for a photo shoot. All three landscape watercolor paintings were full of new adventures! It's my challenge to create what I have working in my mind, bringing it to the paper at last.

About

With my brush, pigment and paper, I am inspired to capture everyday moments in vivid color.

I've been a creative person all my life, loving artistic pursuits. Through every season of life, I've been able to weave art into my daily life. At times, it been very limited and not always included a paintbrush, watercolor paper and paint. My camera is my biggest asset in all these years, many references photos have been collected along the way.

I truly love the scenic panorama as well as the small, fragile wildflower. Colors of watercolor pigment!!! I do love mixing the pigments and the wide range of possible results. There's just something about bringing out the contrast in a subject so it nearly pops off the paper. I want the subject to coax you closer, to see a little bit more, to stay a little longer. It's not so much that I want you to see my brushstrokes but that you take pleasure in enjoying the same view that caught my eye.

What a joy to see each original watercolor painting find its perfect home! The subject speaks to the admirer, who then becomes the collector. When someone appreciates a piece of artwork so much they cannot resist, that's when it can be transferred from artist's hands to those of one who will treasure it as well.

I have been very pleased with the excellent quality of reproduction available. With archival grade inks and media available, these fine art prints have been tested to last from 70 to 2000 years without substantial fading or discoloration.

Welcome! I'm so glad you stopped in today and I hope you enjoy yourself. My watercolors are a passion for me and it's a privilege to share them with others. While my favorite subjects are landscapes and wildflowers, there are sure to be other various subjects that caught my eye along the way. My style continues to grow and change but my love of contrast and vibrant color remains.
