We Quit Our Day Jobs in Favor of Full-Time Art...
It all started one brisk February morning in 2007. Eric had just gotten his first 'itch' to market online, and with a passion for the arts he wanted his first project to involve another artist. Moments later, he stumbled upon Nicholas' eBay shop, featuring hundreds of pristine, modern metal wall sculptures. Immediately taken by the impressive presence of these pieces, he contacted Nicholas about a collaboration. Fast forward a few years, and both Eric & Nicholas are faced with the decision to follow their passions and pursue full-time self-employment or to remain in their comfortable, stable, careers. Both decided that life was too short to let opportunities like this pass them by, and together they have built a steadily-growing art and decor business around their combined artistic skills and business acumen. With the help of key additions like Holly and others, Modern Crowd is expanding beyond metalwork and into woodwork, fashion, and more. It all started with a passion for the arts, it blossomed into a close friendship, and it continues with a huge leap of faith...
Owner, Designer, Curator, Marketer
With a background in the arts and an indescribable passion for the web (strange as that may sound,) Eric spends his time not only contributing designs and creative direction, but also managing the online presence for our business.
Owner, Artist / Sculptor, Lead Designer
With 15+ years combining metallurgical engineering w/ fine modern art, Nicholas has an unmatched skillset that brings any and all design concepts to life. He is an absolute perfectionist and every piece that leaves his studio is a testament to that.
Creator, Designer, Custom Woodworker
Adam is one of the most talented custom woodworkers in the midwest. He designs and crafts contemporary furniture, cabinetry and decor, and has been commissioned recently by multiple MLB teams to create high end wooden furniture for stadium suites.
Creator, Shipping Manager
Adam is Nicholas Yust's younger brother, and like his older brother he is creative, artistic and very skilled. He designs and crafts our upcycled woodwork (like railroad spike wine racks and pallet bookshelves and coat racks.)
Emley was one of our first contributing artists. She creates very unique, highly textured acrylic paintings that she exposes to extreme treatments and reactions to create thick, chunky finishes with organic shapes and colors.
Creator, Designer, Painter
Mendo specializes in abstract acrylic paintings on canvas. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of Mendo's work is the vibrant finishes, exciting color combinations, and emotionally-expressive abstract designs that grace his canvases.
Celeste is a very talented painter and designer, specializing in colorful contemporary canvases and trendy accents. She is a brilliant decorator, and also happens to be the lovely fiancée of fellow artist Nicholas Yust.
Designer, Graphic Design, Digital Artist
Ben is an extremely talented graphic designer who has an uncanny ability to create hyper-realistic (fully customized from scratch) digital art of animals, people, and other subjects, in addition to abstracts and sci-fi scenes.
Megan is one of the top contemporary artists in the country, with her originals exhibited at some of the top fine art shows and her prints and imagery used on art, decor and accessories worldwide.
As a client of Modern Crowd, you have the opportunity to change the world! If for no other reason than to beautify your home or office and to keep our artists alive for one more day. After all, change only happens one person at a time, and as Mahatma Ghandi once said: "Be the change you want to see in the world..."

In most cases, our gallery is able to package up your artwork and ship it out within 2 business days, however please take note of the estimated ship time that we provide with each listing, as it will outline whether we anticipate a 1-2 day window, 1-2 week window, or if it is made-to-order with a 4-6 week window. Occasionally there are exceptions due to extenuating circumstances. Your satisfaction is our highest priority, so please let us know if you have a specific deadline.
We generally ship via UPS or USPS, and always 100% insured.

We as the seller have no way to pay these taxes/duties for the recipient in advance, or even to know if/when they will happen or what the amount would be.
