WELCOME! CicadaWares is an online boutique for former Portland creative, and Chicago native, Elizabeth Izzo. As a young child I was sensitively drawn to strong intuitive experiences and easily led into a creative process through early educational art curriculums. I instinctively knew I would not be able to compete with 'the masters' I was exposed to, yet I carried on into adulthood finding my path as a self-taught artist and navigating adversity through creativity. The path of Shamanism found me in my 20's- although I had already had significant critical experiences as a child. I see my path as one of self initiation.

As a survivor, my art has served to regenerate and inform personal transformations, transmuting darkness into light. I am humbled and grateful to be rattle-making after a significant absence from midwifing this medicine. With enthusiasm I bring forth this art and tell what stories I see unfolding in it. What magic provided for you will be through the stories you hear and experience as a recipient.

In past years I facilitated a women's circle and designed artmaking classes for all ages. I have come to embrace my path as a healer and guide - a Change Agent for creating new stories. I am currently offering Shamanic Artmaking Journeys by distance and coaching others in their creative and healing paths. Also I am accepting commissions for SOUL SIGNATURE RATTLES.
