Mi padre fue impresor toda su vida y trabajó en varios periódicos y tiendas de impresión personalizada de alta gama durante más de 50 años. En algún momento de su trayectoria, recopiló esta increíble selección de etiquetas de cigarros raras y únicas, que guardó cuidadosamente durante décadas. Falleció en 2023 y finalmente he decidido que es hora de transmitirlas a la próxima generación de coleccionistas apasionados.
Recuerdo que de niño me encantaba mirar estas etiquetas y maravillarme con la belleza del arte y cómo se hacían. Cuando empecé a trabajar en los talleres de impresión de mi padre, aprendí rápidamente la artesanía que implica superponer cada capa de color correctamente para que coincida a la perfección, y luego realizar el estampado en relieve, añadiendo un toque de distinción. Este nivel de detalle y perfección no se ve en la litografía digital actual.

Greetings! The cigar labels listed in this store are from my father's private collection which has been in our family for over 70 years. Dad was a life long printer and worked at several newspapers and high-end custom print shops for over 50 years. Somewhere along the way he collected this incredible selection of rare and unique cigar labels which he carefully stored over the decades. He passed away in 2023 and I've finally decided it's time to pass these down to the next generation of serious collectors.
I remember as a child loving to look at these labels and wonder at the beautiful artwork and how they were made. When I started working in my dad's print shops, I quickly learned the craftsmanship that goes into getting each layer of color correctly overlaid to perfectly match, and then performing the foil embossing, adding a touch of class. You just don't see this level of detail and perfection in today's digital lithography.
