Art Through the Eyes of a Biologist

Lisa Appelbaum grew up in the suburbs of Lake Charles, LA. She
has always had an interest in nature. Her mother nurtured this
interest and also introduced her to photography. Although Lisa
continued her interest in photography throughout grade school,
her hobby didn’t really blossom until college when she bought
her first digital camera. Lisa attended college at Louisiana State
University in Baton Rouge, LA where she received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Biology with a minor in Oceanography. Lisa
currently resides in the tiny town of Onalaska, TX. Her current
focus in photography is capturing the beauty and diversity of the
Texas Big Thicket region.

My postcards are completely designed by me but I have them printed at a facility in California. I have the bulk orders delivered to me so that I can inspect each card for quality control before sending them out to you.

  • MOO Inc.

    East Providence, RI, United States

MOO's Printfinity allows me to order a pack of cards with as many different designs as I want. This will allow me to offer a wider variety of cards for you to choose from. Cards are inspected for quality before being sent to you.

Welcome to my Etsy shop! I love nature and I want to share it with you. I try to be responsible and respect nature during my creative process. Some items will include a donation to a particular non-profit group I feel is in need of my support and that without their work, I wouldn't be able to create the products here for you to purchase.

I accept PayPal and Direct Checkout payments. Please contact me immediately if you would like to cancel your purchase, especially for made to order items. I try to get them printed as soon as I can to give the chemicals plenty of time to set. Note: Do not select "Other" as a form of payment unless we have a previously agreed upon trade set up.
Domestic orders are sent USPS First Class or USPS Priority Mail for over 13 oz. Shipping includes tracking. Contact me if you would like me to add insurance to your order. For international orders please contact me to set up a shipping profile for your country if I don't have one already. Shipping is First Class International.

Postcards, greeting cards, and prints up to 14 inches long will be shipped in flat cardboard mailers and cello sleeves to prevent damage. Larger prints will be rolled in a mailing tube and also protected by plastic. I have done a test run with one of my large prints leaving it rolled up for months in the mailing tube and then framing it. No damage. It looks great. Jewelry will come in a small box or bubble envelope.

You may receive items in multiple packages. If I ship your items in multiple packages, I will let you know what kind and how many in the shipping email. If I overcharge you on shipping more than $1.00, I will refund you the difference.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not happy with your purchase, please return item in original condition for a refund of the item price (not shipping). I will also refund the item price for items damaged during shipping with returned item or photo showing damage. Returned items must be received within 30 days of sale. No refunds for items lost in the mail without insurance.
