Alle Accessoires in meinem Shop Cilly Scrunchie werden von mir, Varisha, handgefertigt. Ich lebe in Gouda (Niederlande), einer Stadt, die für ihren Käse und ihre Waffeln berühmt ist.
Angefangen hat alles damit, dass ich ein paar Haargummis für mich selbst gemacht habe, lass mich dir mehr darüber erzählen:
Wie Sie auf meinem Profilfoto sehen können, habe ich viele Locken! Ich liebe es, meine Haare zu einem Pferdeschwanz oder Dutt hochzubinden, aber mir ist aufgefallen, dass meine Haare aufgrund der engen Gummibänder, die ich verwendet habe, immer wieder brechen. Jemand hat mir den Tipp gegeben, mit dem Tragen von Haargummis anzufangen. Das habe ich gemacht und sofort bemerkte ich, dass meine Haare dicker wurden und dass sie nicht brachen, als ich das Haargummi aus meinen Haaren entfernte!
Das einzige Problem war, dass die Haargummis, die ich im Laden mitgebracht habe, ziemlich langweilig waren und ich mit der Qualität nicht zufrieden war; Manchmal verloren sie nach mehrmaligem Tragen völlig ihre Elastizität (und ich musste sie wegwerfen) ... Ich wollte niedlichere Haargummis haben, die haltbarer sind. Ich habe beschlossen, selbst ein paar Haargummis aus süßen Stoffen und mit starken Gummibändern zu nähen. Mir ist aufgefallen, wie viel Spaß mir die Herstellung macht und wie zufrieden ich mit den Ergebnissen bin. So wurde Cilly Scrunchie geboren!
Lustige Tatsache: Der Name „Cilly“ ist von meinem zweiten Namen Priscilla (Cilla > Cilly) inspiriert und ich fand, dass er lustig klingt, weil er beim Aussprechen wie das englische Wort „silly“ klingt.
All the accesories in my shop Cilly scrunchie are handmade by me, Varisha. I live in Gouda (The Nederlands) a city that is famous for it's cheese and waffles.
It all started with me making some scrunchies for myself, let me tell you more about it:
As you can see on my profile photo, I have a lot of curls! I love to wear my hair up in a pony tail or a bun, but I noticed that my hair kept breaking, because of the tight elastics I was using. Someone gave me a tip to start wearing scrunchies. So I did and immediately I noticed that my hair got thicker and that it didn't break when I removed the scrunchie from my hair!
The only problem was, that the scrunchie I brought in the store were quite boring and I wasn't happy with the quality; sometimes they completely lost there elasticity after wearing them a couple times (and I had to throw them away)... I wanted to have cuter scrunchies that were more durable. I decided to make a few scrunchies myself with cute fabrics and with strong elastics. I noticed how much I liked making them and how happy I was with the results. Thus, Cilly scrunchie was born!
Fun fact: The name ‘Cilly’ is inspired by my second name Priscilla (Cilla> Cilly) & I thought it sounded funny, because it sounds like the English word ‘silly’ when you pronounce it.
