About

a ViNtAgE lifestyle

This journey begins early (while children), during the mid era of the 20th century, while being surrounded by modern items (which would now be considered vintage) that belonged to our parents and grandparents. We were captivated before turning 10 years old and it was then we were inspired to procure the same pieces we knew and loved for ourselves (while they were still considered modern), if only to keep the feeling of this era alive within our own hearts. You must know we are not newcomers like 99% of all those claiming to be retro experts, aficionados, sellers, and collectors as we were doing this 40 years ago before it was even on anyone's the radar. We did not get into to retro because we saw others doing it, because we saw money making money opportunities, and certainly not because we needed to be somebody off of others copied ideas ... we were always cool, we were always original, we always had our own ideas, we we were always vintage! At age 21 we were independent of parents and our lives and our environment was our own - we refused to own new furniture and always sought out the older spaces to live in (unlike everyone else). During the 1970s we mimicked the hair-dos from the golden age of Hollywood and followed the styles of the early screen legends. We wore vintage clothing in the 1980s (at age 25) and drove classic cars (Mrs. had the 1950s Metropolitan Nash - turquoise and white, Mr. had the 1940s Packard Coupe - dark green). Part of our fashion M.O. during that time included buying old eyeglass frames when we could find them and converting them into sunglasses with outrageously colored glass (blue, green, smokey, etc). We were the originators of many trends and helped the vintage genre become massively popular on a grand scale (not on purpose, people just copied us and trends grew from there). During those early days of collecting there was no vantage point, most saw vintage items as disposable junk - NOT US. We amassed sizable collections during that time and were able to surround ourselves with everything vintage ... vintage always felt like home. The rest as they say is history, we are still collectors and still love the vintage genre. Although our tastes have changed through the years, we have and will always live the vintage lifestyle and be a part of its history. Nothing can change that or take that away from us, because it is after all who we are.
Our inventory is compromised of vintage eyewear and eyewear accessories that we would own and wear ourselves. We sell only items that truly inspire us and tell our story!
