About Classic Mouse Parade
I have played with many styles of art over the years but can honestly say that small scale taxidermy has changed me as an artist. I love the idea that I am able to bring back personality and give a loving home to a creature that would otherwise have been forgotten. I am simply here at the end and although they are dead when we meet, they have a new life when they leave me, and that brings me endless joy.
I have a deep love and respect for wildlife. I try to be very mindful in my collection of materials and conscientious of the impact oddities dealers are making on the environment. People often ask me why I have so many mice. The answer is, I have a giant tegu who is more dragon than lizard. His name is Dumpling, and he loves mouse guts more than anything. We have built an amazing relationship where he is in full support of my art career because it means he can be the big lazy boy that he is.
Along with my love of the natural world, I am a long-time lover of classic movies, horror and monsters. I am drawn to the weird and interesting arts that make you feel things. So, with that being said, I thank all the strange and unusual artists out there who have inspired me and have broke down barriers and paved the way so that people like me can express our creativity while being supported by a curious world that craves more art!
