I derive much enjoyment from pleasing my shoppers with good customer service and high quality products.

I started creating simple jewelry as a child but didn't make any for years while I was in college and starting a career. I came back to making jewelry because I wanted all my pieces to match my outfits and each other, but couldn't find what I wanted in stores. That is when I discovered I needed such a creative outlet. I am a serious introvert, so spending time alone in my glass and bead studio recharges me.

I started selling jewelry locally more than ten years ago and have many repeat buyers (thank you!). I love the look and feel of different kinds of beads and cabs. I also get pleasure from learning new techniques to make and incorporate those little treasures (oh, and collecting them). Inspiration comes from many venues, such as nature, art, science, and the materials themselves. I never lack for ideas, just time!

I find dichroic glass to be incredibly cool and wanted to have custom dichroic glass pendants to use in my jewelry. So, I bought a kiln and learned how to fuse glass 8-9 years ago. Now I have a whole room of glass (I collect it, too) and the equipment and supplies (and after much practice the knowledge) to make unique, high quality pieces. Glass is a complicated and challenging medium that is great fun to play with (and sometimes very frustrating). I get excited every time I open the kiln to see just what has been made of those small pieces of glass that I put in.

My Etsy journey has been a pleasant one. I derive much enjoyment from pleasing my customers with good customer service and high quality products. When my energy is low, I read my reviews to recharge those batteries (thank you!). The Etsy teams are also amazing; I appreciate their unconditional support.

I have enjoyed designing and making jewelry plus glass creations for more than 10 years. This creative outlet (addiction?) keeps me sane and balanced along with the demands of motherhood and my career as a scientist and educator.

Thank you for looking in my Etsy shop that features one-of-a-kind art and dichroic cabs that I made in my glass studio (sounds a bit nicer than a room in my basement). I take pride in making high quality pieces, which involves multiple kiln firings and cold-working of each piece.

You can find finished jewelry with my cabs in my Etsy jewelry shop ClassyJewelryShop and, of course, can ask me for custom cabs or to design and make a piece of jewelry from any cab from this shop (just convo me about it).

Please pay within 48 hours to reserve your custom order using Paypal or Etsy direct checkout. I am required to collect sales tax for purchases shipped to Maine (sorry neighbor!).
All cabs purchased will be packed securely and sent by first-class mail with tracking when available the next morning, unless you request a silver-plated or gold-plated bail to be glued to the cab or wire-wrapping of the cab. It will take 1-2 additional business days before I can mail cabs with glued-on bails (the adhesive has to cure for at least 24 hours) or wire-wrapped pieces.

Custom forms will be filled out truthfully; any duties or import taxes are beyond my control and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase. Therefore, you may return any cab within 14 days of receipt for exchange or a full refund of the purchase price (less shipping unless I made a mistake such as, gasp, sending you the wrong item). Custom items are usually non-returnable, but if you have an issue I will try to work with you to resolve the issue.
Additional policies and FAQs
You are welcome to request custom orders, all the way from making a special cab for you to finishing it into a piece of jewelry. Simply convo me with a description of what you would like. I regularly do wholesale orders; if you are interested please convo me for details.

My custom order policy is simple. I don't charge anything up front. I make the glass piece and send you a picture. If you like it, I finish it as needed and set up the reserved listing for you to purchase. If you don't like the piece, you are not obligated to purchase it...and we discuss whether or not I should try again to fix any issue you have with it, or we agree to drop the order.
