About

Beautifully dyed, lovingly blended, inspired fibers that stay true to the sheep

My name is Amanda Anganes and I'm the face and hands behind Classy Squid Fiber Co., purveyor of hand-dyed, hand-blended fibers & handspun yarns: for spinning, felting, weaving, knitting, crocheting, and other fiber arts.

I'm passionate about fiber crafts and making the world of wool more accessible to everyone - in my shop you'll find spinning preparations to suit all tastes, with an emphasis on bringing out the wonderful characteristics of natural sheep's wool.

By day I work as a systems engineer and researcher, working on things that are often intangible. By night and on weekends, you can find me buried in wool and satisfying my need to create things I can see and touch and share with the world.

The beautiful thing about being a fiber supplier is that you are ultimately in control of the final outcome, not me. Classy Squid fibers are designed with you in mind and prepared in order to give you the best possible spinning or crafting experience.

Batts are one of my favorite preparations because they can be spun in such a myriad of ways. It thrills me to see what my customers make with my fibers - drop me a line at amanda {!at} classysquidfiberco.com, or tag me on social media & use #classysquidfiberco to show me what you've made!

Happy Spinning,

~Amanda

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I love taking custom orders! If you have a vision you'd like to bring to life, please click the "create custom order" button and let's chat about how to make your vision a reality. I'll ask you a few questions, prepare a quote, and let you know when I'll be able to build and ship your order.

Payment must be received in full before I begin working on your custom order. I will send you photos along the way so you can see a sneak peak into my process and get excited for your lovely fibers!

I can accept up to 5 custom orders at one time; if my queue is currently full I will let you know straight away. I'm happy to preserve your place in queue if you do not mind a delay while I complete other custom orders.

Wholesale availability

I am not currently available for wholesale inquiries, although I am delighted to offer selections of my items to local shops on consigment. Please contact me via amanda@classysquidfiberco.com to discuss.

Color accuracy

I do my best to represent colors online as accurately as possible. However, please be aware that all monitors differ and your settings may be different than mine. If you have any questions about a particular shade or are looking for the perfect match to another item, please convo me to discuss and I'd be happy to assist.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All Classy Squid Fiber Co. orders are gift wrapped and packed with love and care with a handwritten note. If your purchase is a gift, please let me know in the "note to sender" at checkout and I can include anything you like in the note to your recipient.
