The name 'Clay Dance Ceramics' comes from my love of working with the elements; fire, water and earth. I believe when they come together in a creative salsa they can create beautiful and lovingly individual items that you can cherish forever.
From growing up in South Africa, to travelling in the USA and now currently living in the South East of England in Brighton, I have taken design influences from all around the globe. I've visited many European cities and love to create cultural fusions from everywhere I've been in all of my work.
Graduating over 10 years ago with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Crafts from the University College of Falmouth and 2 years later receiving a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Plymouth, I've been perfecting the imperfect art of hand made and wheel thrown ceramics.
I'm lucky enough to have a small but beautiful studio in the Kings Arches on Brighton seafront. All throughout the summer you can find me with my wheel, creating, teaching, firing and planting, so come down if you fancy a lesson or something handmade!
Aside from creating in my studio, when I get the chance I love to travel anywhere with a warm, sunny climate, an open ocean coastline and a hammock to relax in!
