Announcement   Enjoy browsing our collection of cold-process goat milk soap, bubble scoops, butter bath bombs and body care! Every single item I make is handcrafted with the finest ingredients in small batches, here in Matthews, NC.

I started making soap because I tried a bar of handmade soap I bought in a gift shop and my skin never felt as good as after I used it. I started making shampoo bars, because my hair agreed with those, too. After more than three years of making soap and testing recipes, I began selling my soap to family and friends and then here! I hope you love my soaps as much as my family, my friends, my customers and I do. Every positive review and repeat customer lets me know I'm still headed in the right direction.

About

Bathing Better

I've always been an artist or crafter in some way shape or form. Drawing and painting preoccupied most of my youth and adult life: painting, illustration, printmaking...I tried most media at some point, but none of them felt quite right.

Around 2011, my husband and I took a camping trip to the mountains. While in a boutique there, I picked up a bar of handcrafted soap and took it home with me. It was some of the best soap I'd ever bathed with and I was curious as to how it was made. I started looking into soap-crafting, reading books and internet forums and watching videos. I slowly gathered my supplies and created my first batch of cold-process soap making a few months later. My love of soap was born immediately, and finally it felt like the RIGHT art form for me: something beautiful, something useful, something that made me feel good in my skin, both physically and emotionally.

Over the first few years of my soap making hobby, I tweaked recipes, played with additives and fragrances, all trying to make the best, most beautiful bars of soap. After two years of soaping for fun, I spent another full year on the basic recipes I use in my soaps before I opened my shop, because I want you to buy the best bar of soap you've ever used, and I want it to be from me. I truly believe every bar I create is amazing, smells fantastic, and will bring brightness and color to your shower that will start (or end) your day on the right note.

Since opening the shop in 2013, I've added new product lines, and all of these are made with the same care and love as my soap, in the same way: small, handcrafted batches of no more than twenty or thirty items at a so I can make sure the quality of each one is superb. We hope our soaps will leave you fresh and clean, but never dry, our bombs will leave you feeling soft and pampered, but never greasy, and our bubble bars and scoops will leave you feeling luxuriously relaxed. Enjoy getting clean.

Best,

Shop policies

Welcome to my shop!

All of my soaps are handmade in small batches of ten to twenty bars, using the cold-process method. Each bar is then cured for a minimum of four weeks to make sure you get the mildest bar possible!

Please note, because my soap is handmade, it will have some variations from what you see on your computer screen. It may also have natural variations such as air bubbles and soda ash. It may also sweat slightly in high heat or humidity due to the natural high glycerin content. All of these things are normal and do not affect the quality of your bar. Some of them, like the glycerin, actually improve the quality!

Additional policies and FAQs
**Custom Orders**
Yes, absolutely! I would love to create a unique soap or bath bomb or body product for you. Please allow a six week lead time for cold process soaps, and a two week lead time for bath bombs.

**Wholesale Orders**
I do wholesale, but only to small brick and mortars! If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact me.

** Soap Appearance**
All of my soap is handmade so the appearance of soda ash and air bubbles in soap are common. If the soap is sweating, that is also common. Due to the high glycerin (a natural humectant) content of handmade soaps, the moisture in the air is attracted to the surface of the soap.

**Allergy Warning**
Nut oils are used in nearly all of my soaps, and shea butter is used in almost all of my bath bombs. as a warning to those with nut or latex allergies. If you have any severe allergies, I do not recommend purchasing handmade body products as the risk of reaction is much higher.
