About

What's a Dryer Ball???

That's pretty much the first question I get when either someone asks what I do for a living or they ask what I'm going to use all this yarn for.

It can be a bit tiring to explain to each and every person within a mile who hears the word, "dryer ball" but it reminds me that I'm making something that will still be new to somebody for many, many years to come.

I've had many jobs over the years from retail and customer service to bill auditing and corporate office monkey but I've always been creating things my whole life. From painting when I was six to working with mixed media during high school to sculpting and metal working in college I've always kept my hands busy. Throughout all of these horrid jobs I was always on the search for the "perfect job" where I could be at home and just make things all day - and look'e here! After many, many, many years of hard work, sleepless nights and a lot of blood, sweat and tears (many, MANY tears) everything has come true. :) I've got a loving husband who supports me in every way and two lovely little kitties that brighten my spirits. It makes all the work that I have done all that much more rewarding.

I'm the one who makes your dryer balls! I'm not sure if you told me 20 years ago that I'd be doing this for a living that I'd believe you, or even understand what you were talking about! But life is great and I wouldn't trade it for anything. :)

While Tara is making your dryer balls, I pretty much do everything else. From helping package them up to standing in line at the post office and of course, getting supplies. I make sure the house doesn't fall apart while she's makin' away!

  • Fry (Phillip J. Fry)

    Work Distraction

I try to keep my mom from going crazy by making dryer balls all day. I'm quite vocal which I think actually makes her even more crazy but at least I'm cute!

  • Leela (Teronga Leela)

    Snuggle Bug

I pretty much leave mom alone while she's working but when it comes to dinner time and bed time, I am ALL OVER HER.
