Will be listing some fabrics from my own stash over the next couple of days - keep an eye out if you're on the hunt for historical-costume-appropriate fabric pieces!
Hats. All The Hats.
Welcome! I'm a part-time seamstress with a full-time interest in the history of costume, with an especial focus on the second half of the 18th century. I've always felt that the right accessories are vital to an outfit, whether you're a living historian or a pretty-pretty-princess! I've been both on occasion.
Hats and headwear are my current primary interest, with a narrow focus from about 1750-1820 - though I've made items from outside those dates, and am always interested in finding out more! I also may have other accessories in the shop at some points: kerchiefs, aprons, sleeve ruffles, recovered shoes, and the like, along with the occasional item from my fabric stash or costume closet that needs to find a new home.
I like to find out and use period-correct techniques and materials whenever possible. I know everyone has different standards, so compromises in such, whether for budget or availability, will be noted to the best of my ability! In other words, if I put polyester ribbon on a hat, I'll tell you (even if it's a very nice polyester)!
I'm happy to consider requests for custom orders for accessories - many of my stock items can be recreated in other colorways or other fabrics, etc.
