About

Viintage Inspired Laundry

I have had a clothesline of my own for years and my father had even made me my own clothesline poles out of old oilwell pipe. They'd been moved to several different houses, much to my husbands great distress. I'd grown up on a farm where my mom and grandmother both used their line daily. It was just a way of life.

My husbands grandfather passed several years ago. While we were going through his house, I found in the laundry room a tattered old clothespin bag with a lid. It was the original fabric, plastic and all... and I loved it. So, this tattered old bag grabbed my interest and much to no ones surprise - no one else in the family wanted it.

After realizing that no one made these, I decided to try to come up with my own pattern and see what happened... the first tries were a bit rough and it took me a while to figure out all of my little sewing tricks, but slowly my design evolved. Now, my bags are polished and beautiful and I think so much more than the original.

I hope that you enjoy my bags as much as I do. Happy Line Drying to you all.

Welcome to the Clothespin Queen! Vintage Inspired Line Drying. The bags that I make are based off of a bag that dates back to the 1940's or 50's... .I took the idea and made it my own. They are one of a kind, durable, functional and beutiful. So far as I know, I am the only person making lidded clothespin bags. Very much like what your grandmother used on her line all of those years ago, my bags will inspire you and lighten you heart as you go about the daily chores of laundry and love.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Please be aware that these are hand made items - including the hand bent wire. As such, there will be variances - returns are not accepted based on the natural quirks of being hand made. If there is a flaw - like a seam pulls out or I've left a part out, that is completely covered and I will send you a new item. No returns on custom orders.
Payment
Payment is accepted via Paypal only. Thanks for understanding! Taxes are for the state of Texas, if you live anyplace other than the great Lone Star state, Texas doesn't seem to mind and won't charge you taxes. Lucky you! Cancellations are not accepted after the product has shipped. If you order a custom made bag, orders cannot be canceled after you ship your fabric to me.
Shipping
Shipping for the clothespin bags is in an empty cereal box. Why? Shipping rates are dramatically higher over 13 ounces - the cereal boxes are the exact right size and thin enough that the weight stays below that magic number. This saves you at least $5 on shipping charges and also finds a new use for those empty old boxes.

I can ship outside of the country - please contact me BEFORE ordering for a shipping quote if outside of the US.
Additional policies and FAQs
If ordering a custom made bag, please contact me before placing the order. I want to make sure that your fabric selection will work with the bag! Any other questions, please let me know. I'm on the internet a lot so should get back to you within a day!
