Viintage Inspired Laundry
I have had a clothesline of my own for years and my father had even made me my own clothesline poles out of old oilwell pipe. They'd been moved to several different houses, much to my husbands great distress. I'd grown up on a farm where my mom and grandmother both used their line daily. It was just a way of life.
My husbands grandfather passed several years ago. While we were going through his house, I found in the laundry room a tattered old clothespin bag with a lid. It was the original fabric, plastic and all... and I loved it. So, this tattered old bag grabbed my interest and much to no ones surprise - no one else in the family wanted it.
After realizing that no one made these, I decided to try to come up with my own pattern and see what happened... the first tries were a bit rough and it took me a while to figure out all of my little sewing tricks, but slowly my design evolved. Now, my bags are polished and beautiful and I think so much more than the original.
I hope that you enjoy my bags as much as I do. Happy Line Drying to you all.
