About

Mission | Food | Story

❍ ❍ ❍ The Mission ❍ ❍ ❍
Our work, may it be, to make food that enchants, nourishes, and blesses our days. That awakens a deep appreciation for this big green beautiful Earth we’re all home to. And to bless the land and people who feed us, by curating from farms that grow organically and pay their workers well. We are ever so fortunate to receive the fruits of their labors.

❍ ❍ ❍ The Provisions ❍ ❍ ❍
Cobb’s specializes in magical plant-centric food, with the finest organically grown, unrefined, responsibly sourced, dairy free and grainless (gluten free) ingredients we can find. Our two product offerings are a chilled chocolate cup and a cultured cashew cream cheese (in stores only). The cups are a decadent, chilled grab-and-go dessert in the shape of a two-inch hemisphere, with a fudgy nutbutter filling and crisp dark chocolate shell, sweetened with local bee-centric raw honey from the Pacific Northwest. Our cashew cheese is a probiotic-rich spread, reminiscent of creamed chèvre that’s delicious as a dip or on a sandwich.

❍ ❍ ❍ The Story ❍ ❍ ❍
Rebecca and Stephen Cobb are self-proclaimed kids at heart. They love food and sharing it with others, but never imagined being in the food industry, nor starting a business. Through hard work, countless blessings, a supportive community and a passion to create and share something they believe in, Cobb’s was formed in 2013.
Stephen will say that he’s got an amateur palate and considers himself more of a technician than a chef. He eats just about anything, loves leftovers and condiments, and thinks of granola with nut milk and freeze-dried bananas as a treat. Rebecca isn’t so easy to please. She prefers “real dessert” like tiramisu or a big buttery cookie. Anything rich, indulgent and sensational. The marriage of these two is the heart of the Cobb’s tagline, “naturally naughty”. To them, the idea is to create nutritious treats that will swoon the picky belly and picky palate alike. Their creative endeavor is to use simple, unrefined ingredients so that Nature’s essentials are highlighted, and to provide a captivating food experience without relying on the dairy, starches and refined sweeteners that we’ve grown so accustomed to.
The two launched the brand with a sense of entrepreneurial curiosity, but over time a deeper purpose for the business began to reveal itself. They feel at home being around food while supporting the real food movement and answering the ‘call of the wild’ in a good way. It’s playful and silly, but also political and meaningful.
Cobb’s mission is to create tasty food that connects us to our common roots – nature. This involves sourcing quality ingredients, honoring allergen sensitivities, using low impact packaging, and creating a heartwarming food experience that connects us to our bodies in a good way. Cobb’s currently has two product lines – chilled chocolate cups and cashew cream cheese. Everything is dairy and grain (gluten) free and as organic as possible. They’re even using ‘bee-centric’ raw honey, which means they pay a premium for honey harvested by small-scale organic beekeepers who keep healthier, happier bees.
When they’re not in their downtown Olympia kitchen, Rebecca and Stephen and their animal buds like to camp, make fires, soak in hot water, be musical, watch movies and eat treats.

Frequently asked questions
Why don't you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to the sensitive nature of our refrigerated cups, we cannot accept returns, as we'd need to open and re-package in order to inspect whether or not the cups have melted and smudged, etc.

How soon will I get my cups?

We ship weekly, by Tuesday. Orders received by Friday at noon are guaranteed to ship the following week. After that, we ship what we can and can generally get everything out. With USPS Priority, you should receive your order within 2-3 days once shipped.

What if I don't like them?

First, we recommend a Sampler case if this is your first order. However, if you do order multiple cases and, in the very rare case, don't find one flavor worth eating, we will either credit or refund that portion of your order. This is ultimately at our discretion, but we are good-hearted people and will do our best to make you happy.
