What Can I Do With This Interesting Old.....Thing....???

That's partly where it started. I've been a long time casual collector of antiques. Pre-1900's dolls, beaded purses, hatpins, hats, clothing, jewelry, perfume bottles, lace, textiles, clothing, buttons, trinket boxes, art, miniatures....things that strike my fancy.

I have always been happiest when making. I sculpt, work in stained glass and metal, crochet, paint (with abandon and disregard ), write, garden, sew, restore, sing, dance, cook...It's hard to focus on just one craft, I've no desire to be anything but a many-hatted-dabbler.

We have a wonderful antique store , the oldest in Nevada now.... I use the orphans, the widows, the bits and relics that come my way for making. The more perfect pieces go to the shop for sale, a few things here sometimes, and that's enough for me. Oh, I do "honeymoon" things at times, a definite perk in this business.

This world is truly full of broken but useful bits. I am one of those broken bits. Pondering my way through life, concerned about my children and the future they will be left with, worried about the world, and finally, simply, making things from orphans and relics that find their way to me, because it makes me very happy. I work intuitively, identifying with symbolism, themes and faces in everything. I love a great story, and seek out those words, ideas, beginnings in every piece, every bit, and the simplest ones are often the most awe inspiring.

Welcome to CobwebPalace. I've been selling via shops, shows, other venues and my studio for many years, and though this account was opened a long time ago, I have really only been selling seriously here since 2014. Buying on Etsy has always been a favorite thing to do!!

My jewelry is composed primarily of antique and vintage components. I use some newer elements here and there, but mostly very old treasures. I personally test-drive each and every piece for comfort and function, and my attention to detail is obsessive. If for any reason you have issues, please contact me and I will make every effort to remedy the problem. I stand by my skills and with proper care, guarantee their longevity.

Please understand that vintage and antique elements are worn, used, loved, patinaed, imperfect, and those qualities are considered inherently vital to my design process. Special consideration should be given these pieces when wearing and storing.

To save time and make things just a bit more interesting here, I am adding vintage and antique jewelry and accessories, as well as destash items, and have closed my sadly neglected vintage shop, Madame Trinket.

Thank you for stopping by, feel free to say hello.

I do not offer partial refunds.

I want you to be totally satisfied with your purchase of an heirloom piece, so please contact me immediately if there are any issues or concerns.

Please don't request returns on lay-away items. Be certain before you purchase. I am happy to provide additional photos and am available to answer questions in a timely manner.

If you are a Nevada resident, I must collect 7.10% of the sale for my governor.

Payment is expected at the time of purchase, unless we have discussed a lay away plan prior to purchase. Please contact me prior to check out to arrange a payment schedule. If you want a lay away arrangement, let me know and I will enable the "OTHER" checkout option for you.

INTERNATIONAL: No matter what verbiage you may see in my shop, or elsewhere, I am not collecting nor am I responsible for taxes imposed on International customers. You are responsible for return shipping. I ship to the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia only.

I have no access to your credit card or other payment information, your privacy is treated with utmost care and respect.
I ship everything with tracking and insurance, and refund overcharges cheerfully.
I ship to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand ONLY.

I ship with tracking and insurance usually no later than 2 business days after purchase. Sometimes life gets in the way of my good intent, but I always try my very best to be prompt and will always keep you informed.

Your address must be current and correct, please check your accounts to be certain. I am not certain I did everything just right when switching to calculated shipping, so please be patient. If you are overcharged for shipping and insurance I will cheerfully refund. If I have not charged you enough, smile and carry on.

"IMPORTANT": If you live outside the US please be aware that any VAT, taxes, customs fees or other charges you may incur when your package arrives in your country are your responsibility and are not included in the shipping fee. Please do not ask me to mark your item as a gift. I will not falsify customs forms. In the event you decide to return an item, you are responsible for costs of return shipping in the same manner in which I originally sent the item to you.

I do not ship anywhere without tracking. Who in their right mind is willing to assume the risk of the loss of their product, and payment as well? It is pricey, and I have tried to offer the least expensive methods of shipping safely.

For items sent internationally, please understand that I cannot be responsible for packages that are held in customs, so be sure the item you wish to buy is allowed to be sent to your country before making the purchase. I insure all items sent internationally so please contact me if your item doesn't arrive or if it arrives damaged. Shipping internationally is an expensive problem, working together on a mutually agreeable form of protection for both of us is open to discussion.

*NOTE: Items sent internationally may take up to 8 weeks to arrive and tracking isn't always precise once an item leaves the US. Please allow enough time for your item to arrive.

All items are shipped through USPS and packaged with the utmost care!
Additional policies and FAQs
Lay away is a fairly painless process and breaks down an expensive purchase into more munchable chunks, I prefer a 60-90 day maximum period with one third of the price as a down payment, scheduled installments, and do not refund if you change your mind about our agreement. Convo me prior to purchase and I will enable the "OTHER" payment option so you can check out, and I will invoice the agreed upon installments.

I am just me, working instinctively with materials I have, and no longer accept custom work. Adjusting a piece to fit you isn't a problem, or rearranging elements to suit you better is also open to discussion. I am happy to help you with a great fit.

I sell from my home studio, brick and mortar, and at shows, so pieces shown in my Etsy shop are subject to sale elsewhere.

If you are searching for a particular antique or vintage piece, convo me. We have probably the most interesting antique store in the state of Nevada and I am fine with setting up a custom listing for you here.
