Great cover for my DE razor. No snaps to break with time. I will be purchasing another. If you buy one, you will not be disappointed.

About

From Designing Apps to Working With Our Hands

Cocoa Press Leather Co. was founded by two-long time technology workers Kelvin and Iryna Beecroft. Kelvin is a former Microsoft engineer and Apple software developer, and together we've been very successful designing iPhone apps. That's fine and that's what pays the bills, but our true passion lies in making quality stuff with our hands from beautiful, natural materials.

Only American tanned leather is used in bovine products, sourced from three of the last major tanneries left in the US; Hermann Oak, Wickett & Craig, and Horween. The quality of these leather are so good, along with other hardware and threads we choose, that we can confidently offer a lifetime guarantee on all our products. If ever the leather should tear, the stitching come undone, or hardware corrode we'll fix it or replace it for free.

Our leather goods are handcrafted. Although we do employ a few machines for monotonous work, most of our craft is done by hand. That's how we like doing things and that's how we roll.

Cocoa Press is located in fabulous Las Vegas, NV. We love the outdoor activities nearby and the proximity to many national parks in Utah, Arizona, and California. Kelvin also enjoys working as a photographer for Adobe Stock and likes to add to his portfolio whenever time allows.

Our name comes from the cocoa press, a machine invented in the 1800's to reduce the amount of cocoa butter from cocoa beans so that cocoa powder could be produced, which is the basis for most chocolates we enjoy today. It was a simple yet revolutionary device that changed everything. Today, there's a swell of interest in handcrafted goods, stuff made nearby by people we know something about. Stuff that's built to last with materials chosen only for their quality. Technology, the Internet, sites such as Etsy and Makers Row, and apps like Instagram and Pinterest make it possible for small shops to thrive and succeed as makers doing the work they love.

Appropriately we've chosen to use an old-time maker's mark as our logo. It features a cocao tree in the center encircled by our name and location. Traditionally the maker's mark would be on the back side of a belt or the inside of a handbag but we've chosen to stamp the outside of our goods, as a mark of pride.

Entirely made by hand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Care instructions

Because our products are made with 100% veg tanned cowhide leather, we recommend that you occasionally rub the leather with a leather conditioner. Once every six months should do it, or more frequently in hot or dry climates or with regular sun exposure. We recommend you use our own specially formulated Cocoa Press Leather Cream. Regular conditioning will help keep moisture in the leather and maintain its beauty for decades.
