My world is a fantasy,
to create my prints I use a blender:
I put inside my own original artwork,
some vintage ephemera,
some illusion,
some reality,
some past,
some future,
a lot of imagination,
I switch on the blender and you know what comes out of it?
Coco de Paris!
Amazing, no?
The name of the blender?
It’s an original “Art School” blender.

Every creation is unique, you will receive the similiar image but not identical since it involves hand painting in acrylic on a different page of the antique paper including the beauty signs through time (spots, corner bends, uneven prints, old grainage, wear and tear, etc). By the way, if you see artworks that you like under 'Sold' section, I will be happy to re-create again.

Your purchase means you have agreed to my shipping policies. Normally, it takes about 10 days to arrive from France to US, Canada and Australia. This is only a reference. It is recommended to upgrade to Registered Shipping with insurance for US$7 more to guarantee refund if missing during shipping. (Please omit the old price $6). More info about shipping, timeframe and refund can be found at the shop policy http://www.etsy.com/shop/Cocodeparis/policy

Please contact me at Etsy convo only as I don't check my email regularly.

About

Just do it...

Here is the interview I did for the Etsy Blog:

You use antique French papers in your artwork. How do you find them and where did you get the idea to paint on vintage paper?
My wife and I like to visit flea markets in France. It was there that I discovered the charm of taking old decorations from my home and combining them with antique French magazines. I had this idea that I could bring life to old, abandoned souls, as well the idea of joining old and new. By painting in acrylic, the vintage paper brings out the vibracy of the image I created, much more than on a painting on simple white paper.

Tell us a bit about your design.
I am a positive person who enjoys the humor in life. My creations reflect my spirit. A smile is the greatest reward I could ever receive from my customers.

What should Etsians visiting your hometown (or country) check out?
Collioure and Saint-Paul de Vence, two charming villages in the south of France, are filled with art galleries, boutiques and sidewalk cafes that have inspired Picasso, Matisse, and many others. And of course, you have to visit Paris! Check out Chartier, one of the most celebrated restaurants in Paris since 1887 — it makes you feel like Coco Chanel could pass by at any moment. It’s very vintage, very Belle Époque and not very expensive. And don’t forget breakfast at Coquelicot, a Parisian pastry and bakery shop in Montmartre. The first time we went there we discovered so many tempting choices and adorable decorations. In fact, we immediately exclaimed, “This is so Etsy!”

What’s next for you ?
Since I sell on Etsy, different editors in U.S. and in U.K. are interested in my work for publishing posters, greeting cards, etc. For the moment I work on a big project for the US WorldMarked company, they will edit a lot of différents product with some of my designs: mugs, soap, notebooks, towels, phone cases, plates etc.
This will be a new step in my collaboration with importants brands and editors: last year I created a design for Marc Jacobs (Zebra shirt), Joe Fresh (Bulldog shirt), Deny Design (different products), and worked with different interior designers and architects.
