Announcement   Welcome to my Shop! I hope you enjoy viewing my artwork, I certainly enjoy creating it. Each piece is hand crafted by me with my bare hands and a few small tools. I do not paint my traditional line of work, I use colored polymer clays, hand mixing them to achieve the desired color and look. Every individual speck of color you see on a piece was rolled between my fingers and placed individually. Every piece is unique and you can be sure that you are purchasing a one of a kind item! Don't see what you are looking for? I am open to custom orders. If you would like me to make something in the likeness of your pet, or a certain species/color morph, that can be arranged! (Please be advised that custom work does cost more)

About

Spreading The Love For Reptiles, Amphibians, Invertebrates and More, One Small Sculpture At A Time

One day in high school, in my attempt to cram in as many art courses as possible, I decided to take ceramics. It was not until then I even had any idea that I could make things from clay. My first semi-serious sculpture was a ceramic and polymer clay dragon that won me a blue ribbon. For a few years, I merely worked on a few dragons for fun, learning from my many failures.

I have always been a reptile lover and keeper of many snakes, and collected snake jewelry obsessively. I began to want something more... and grew tired of all of the snake jewelry out there that is just a generic snake, with over-sized heads, googly eyes, giant fangs, too many rhinestones, angry faces and misshapen bodies. One day I decided to grab some polymer clay and make some snakes for myself. I made a few spares as well. My first attempts weren't the greatest, but I still managed to sell a couple at a local reptile expo. It was then that I realized that if I spent a lot of time practicing and teaching myself how to work with this material, perhaps I could fill a very unique niche in my hobby. From my own personal drive to have better, more realistic snake jewelry, came this realization that there are probably a lot of other people out there who felt the way I do.

The past several years have been spent honing my skills and greatly refining my technique. I spend 8 hours on the average day working in my studio. I left my retail job shortly after my daughter was born and am proud to be simultaneously raising her and working at home. I look forward to developing Cold-Blooded Creation into my life's work, and my story has only just begun.

Payment
I accept paypal as payment for items. Items must be paid in full before they will be shipped.
Shipping
Items are shipped via USPS and are packed securely in bubble envelopes with plenty of protective padding. Delivery confirmation is purchased for each shipment so that I may verify that it was received. If you would like to have your shipment insured, need it shipped faster or via a different carrier, please specify this before your item is shipped (it will cost extra to do most of these things). I am not to be held responsible for uninsured items that become lost in transit. To be clear, that has never happened to me and it would be a pretty rare thing to have happen, but if you are genuinely concerned please discuss having the shipment insured!
Refunds and Exchanges
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. My work is very durable and packed well and in the unlikely event that you should receive a damaged piece you must let me know IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL. I DO get delivery confirmation on a piece so that I know when it has arrived. If you are for any reason not satisfied with the craftsmanship of your piece it is important that you let me know right away! (Not 2 or 3 days later) and I will do what I can to accommodate you. I take detailed photos of my work so that it is clear as to exactly what you are receiving and you will receive exactly what you see!

Polymer clay always has a tiny bit of flex in it and is not brittle or prone to shattering, therefore it requires a good deal of force or pressure to break and usually needs to manually be snapped in half before it will give. Do not attempt to "test" it's strength by pulling on it or trying to bend it. Damage claims (I have not had any to date) will be handled on a case by case basis and I reserve the right to use my discretion. If it is determined that a piece was damaged due to insufficient/faulty packing on my end then I will replace it with an item of equal value or make a new one. Should such an even occur you will need to provide pictures of the item as well as ship it back to me before receiving anything else. I will not be responsible for any damage you inflict onto your own piece (And believe me when I say it is generally very easy to tell the difference between self-damaged and accidental damaged pieces when you know polymer clay as well as I do. These thing's don't just snap in half after being bumped!)

CUSTOM ORDERS ARE NOT RETURNABLE AND DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE IN THE EVENT THAT YOU NO LONGER WISH TO GO THROUGH WITH THE ORDER. PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE YOU PLACE AN ORDER. PLEASE DO NOT SEND A DEPOSIT UNLESS YOU HAVE SPOKEN WITH ME FIRST AS I USUALLY HAVE OTHER ORDERS TO FILL BEFORE I AM READY TO ACCEPT YOUR DEPOSIT.
