My Inspiration

Leland “Pup Boz” Schmick, Jr, was born and raised in central Wisconsin in a creative household where his mother created crochet pieces and his father drew natural scenery featuring water fowl. He grew up with choir, band, and theater communities and as an adult sang in gay men’s chorus’ in Minneapolis and Tampa. Currently, he resides in Honeybrook, Pennsylvania with his husband Ron “boy Ron” Kauffman. He started making chainmail shortly after being collared with chainmail by his Sirs. The methodical focus required for the meticulous artistry in chainmail design helped to train the mindfulness and discipline he needed for pup space. His artistic philosophy is that he believes that many people exist too much on the black and white spectrum. He sees the world in full color which allows him to work with clients to create unique colorful chainmail designs. The pup, bear, fetish, trans, bi, lesbian, and gay communities are his inspirations and he loves to see the customer reactions when they see their finished custom art pieces.
