On Etsy since 2013

Colleen McCall is a full-time studio potter and teaching artist in Elmira, New York. She has an obsession with color and tolerates winter by painting vibrant floral patterns on her handmade pottery from her underground home based studio. Her inspiration varies from natural realistic blooms to stylized abstract florals. Vintage textiles, wall coverings and historical depictions of flowers from all over the world are all part of the mix to create fresh functional heirloom quality dinnerware, home and garden decor.

In addition to her online shop she is a long time member of Handwork, an Artisan Cooperative in Ithaca, NY. Join the mailing list to get first dibs on shop updates, small batch releases, workshops, festivals and more.

Welcome to Colleen McCall Ceramics, my shop on Etsy!

Every pot in my shop here is one-of-a-kind, made by me and ships usually within 1-2 business day to ensure prompt delivery. I like to hand-build or press mold my forms using rolled slabs of clay. This process allows me to create unique shapes and is relatively speedy providing more time to linger on the surface painting, drawing and stamping. While I enjoy the whole labor intensive process my favorite part is holding a brush.

All packages are wrapped in white tissue with a bow and my business card which includes a note about care.

Below are my shipping and other policies. Please have a look at them before purchasing, and do let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for visiting my shop!

Please use the coupon code PORCHPICKUP to decline the built in shipping cost. You will still be asked for a shipping address as Etsy is not set up to offer a pick up option. Send me a note with your order to let me know when you want to pick up from my home based studio in Elmira, NY. Items are still wrapped in white tissue with a bow and placed in a gift bag for contactless delivery.

I currently ship worldwide using USPS Priority Mail for delivery. All items are fully insured.

My shop participates in Etsy's Free Shipping program for items over $35.

Ceramics requires careful packaging. I use an assortment of materials including styrofoam peanuts, sturdy cardboard boxes and bubble wrap for safe travel. I do re-use clean materials to keep costs down and to keep my shipping on the green side.

You are welcome to convo me if you have a question about delivery times.
Additional policies and FAQs
My work is both elegant AND durable. I intend for it to be used frequently and it is designed for the rigor of daily use. My palette of colors and glazes are lead-free, non-toxic. All my ware is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe unless it has gold luster on it. To preserve the luster I recommend hand washing. In the case of reheating baked goods, place the item in a cold oven and allow it to come to temperature at the same time.
