I have always loved colors from neutrals to earth tones to brights. Color makes me happy and I want my customers to feel the same way when choosing and purchasing my items. I want everyone to have an opportunity to "Color Their World"!

I joined Etsy in August, 2008 as a buyer and would occasionally put an item or two up for sale. I wasn't fully committed to running a shop at that time. In September of 2011, I had been crocheting for almost 3 years, but had just started making hats. I found a style that I really liked and I showed it to my family and friends. Immediately, I had 8 orders! I then brought my hats to my part time job and sold a few more. That is when I decided it was time to get serious about my Etsy shop and I began Color My World Crochet.

I have not stopped making hats since then. I have made well over 2,000 hats over the past several years. I crochet other accessories as well, but I really enjoy the process of making hats the most. I love trying out different styles and playing with colors and stitch patterns. Nearly all of the items in my shop are designed by me. My focus is on offering a variety of colors and styles and a quality constructed product.

I love the flexibility of running my own shop. I can crochet in the living room while spending time with the family watching tv and enjoying each others company. I can handle all of the computer work, paper work and shipping while everyone is at work and school.

It's truly a dream come true to do something I love and that I am passionate about and see it grow into a business.
