I LOVE my little elephant painting!! It is such a great size and will be a perfect addition to my room at school! It is very well done and the artist is clearly talented. I'm throughly impressed with this store! The owner even wrote me a thank you note! It was so unexpected and sweet. If you're looking for fun quality artwork, this is the store for you! :)

In an attempt to keep shipping costs down and be kind to our planet, I reuse shipping supplies and boxes as often as I can - but I challenge you to reuse the boxes you receive from Color On The Walls too!

Color On The Walls

Growing up, my favorite class in school was art. I magically came down with a stomach ache every time we had to go to gym, but no matter the project, I was always excited for the hour spent in the art room. My Christmases were filled with Legos, pottery kits, and every color of Sharpie imaginable. In high school my creativity drove me into photography and origami. Even now, four years later, I still come across flattened paper cranes shoved between novels on bookshelves and under storage containers in my closet.

As I applied to colleges and started considering what field I wanted Future Me to be working in, I worried about career prospects for myself and considered my art a hobby, not a skill. I didn't take an art class until my third year of college. I quickly realized another subject I was passionate about: business. Combining my two interests gives me the self motivation and enthusiasm to run my own business.

Color On The Walls opened in July 2012, after a summer of boredom led me to a craft store where I stocked up on canvas and acrylic paint to entertain myself. I started recreating Van Gogh paintings, practicing calligraphy, and creating simple patterns. As each project was completed, I posted photos of my art on my blog, and when a follower asked if they could buy a particular painting, I thought 'Sure, why not.'

I had no idea my store would eventually become my full time job for nearly two years. Color On The Walls has expanded into sorority paddles, graphic design projects, and canvas paintings. My store has helped me develop not only my art and business skills but who I am as a person as well.

Additional policies and FAQs
Can you rush my order?
Please contact me if you have deadline BEFORE you purchase an item. Rush orders are handled on a case by case basis. If the item is already made and ready to ship you can purchase additional shipping to have your item sent by Priority Mail Express, which takes one business day. I will set up a separate order for you to purchase this shipping option.

Do you need sponsors?
I do not do sponsorships, collaborations, or give away free items from my shop for reviews or "shout outs". Messages asking for free items will be reported as spam.

When will my order ship?
Click on the "Your Account" tab in the upper right corner of an etsy page. Click on "Purchases & Reviews". Your expected ship date should be listed with your order information. All items in my shop are listed with an expected shipping time as well, under the "Shipping & Policies" tab.

Do you ship internationally for Etsy?
Sadly, no. Shipping overseas can cost as much as your painting, which is why I don't do it anymore.

How is pricing for shipping determined?
By the size of the canvas/paddle (I’m charged for postage by weight) and shipping supplies. The bigger or heavier the item, the more shipping costs. I ship priority mail because it is insured and includes a tracking number.

Is it safe to pay online with Etsy?
Absolutely. Etsy protects its buyers. You can read their policies here. I never see your credit card numbers. You can also pay with PayPal or Etsy gift cards.
