About

Well, this Story started many many years ago, when we were just about 3 years old...

Our basic knowledge about art, was taught to us by our father, Mr. Guillermo Gómez who never went to art school either due to economic issues. He transmitted his love for art to his three children when they were just about four years old, using just a few art books and supplies. After finishing all the supplies, Art sessions were put aside and forgotten for many many years, there was no money to buy more supplies.
After finishing college, we moved to Chicago in 2000 and in the year of 2005 our apartment was totally consumed by a fire and lost everything we had acquired during those five years of hard work. After renting a new place, and trying to kill the boredom of not having anything to watch, read or even to sit, we decided to start our new life by buying the first new things: canvases and paint.
Karina started painting Mexican Skulls for the reason that back in Mexico, we lived for more than 15 years right in front of the Cemetery, all of our childhood. The Day of the Dead was not only Nov 1st and 2nd, but every day... It was part of our life. Therefore, painting Catrinas, Calaveras /Sugar Skulls, Skeletons became a way to honor our Roots, Colorful Culture, Childhood and Country. Always picturing and honoring the Ones that past away, happy and doing what they used to enjoy...
After having our paintings on exhibit in different places and receiving an amazing feedback and with the crave to create Art, we started this Project / Store just for the need to be always making and beautifying our days with Art, Color and smiles. Therefore, indirectly, the life of others too. It is indescribable the feeling of seeing your customers smile and acquiring our art and creations with so much love...
Our inspirations are our family, our roots, culture, principles and history. Never forgetting who we are and where we come from. We dedicate our creations to our family, in special to our beloved father and our unforgettable friends that will always be part of our story.
We are so PROUD to come from a Colorful Culture that we can share with everybody...♥♥♥
